We recently bought this model based on the really nice write-up on Consumer Reports.  The model lives up to the hype.  It has clean lines, and a sleek look.  The interface is intuitive, but most of all the fans are really powerful!  It runs great.

I'm impressed by the sleek and modern design of the vent hood. Installation was a breeze thanks to the comprehensive set of tools provided. Its effortless cleaning process is a big plus for me, and the impressive power it delivers is exactly what I was looking for.

I replaced my Broan with this Houselane Hood. 
You can tell just when opening the Box these are built extremely well and look amazing.
Everything that you need is included in Box and unlike my Previous Hood, I did not have to tape all the holes to prevent Grease from getting into the Cabinet.  This unit has 2 Powerful Motors that can get a little Loud at the Highest Settings but quiet on the First 2 Speeds.

Built to last

I installed the unit myself using two hand jack lift. The screws are in awkward positions so it took some time. Overall happy with the price and function. Led light is super bright. Suction is great at high speed, not terribly loud. Stainless steel easy to clean. Will see how good the baffles are in dishwasher.

Worth the price

Bought this a couple of weeks ago, installed two days ago, vented to the outside.  Super excited!!! New microwave will have a new home out of site.  I absolutely love my black stainless steel vent hood chef series. Our home is open concept and now odors and smoke are not spreading over the house.  It really does the job.  Plans for a new black stainless steel cooktop and a pot filler.  A work in progress. The vent hood was a great purchase!!!

Shipping, design, appearance, features, all very good. Good suction when cooking. Very good lighting. Touch panel features very good. Removable filter system seems convenient. Installation, parts, hardware, all are very good. Used the 6 inch round adapter, great to have the other options for installation. Need to be handy with tools, may need a helper at 
times. Been using for about 3 weeks now. Very happy so far.

Installation was straightforward, and the controls are simple and intuitive to use day to day. The build quality feels solid, and it looks great under the cabinet clean, modern design that fits well in the kitchen. Overall, this has been a great addition to my kitchen setup. Works exactly as advertised, and I'd buy it again.

The potential problem is the oil smoke may can go through the two light's gap and create clean problem after a period of time usages.

Everything is good except one

Not as quiet as I had hoped, but still OK (my local retail stores never have power to the hoods, so there is no way to tell). Much harder to install that the online video showed (those back screws were a b****).  The ventilation grates had a plastic protective wrap, but the hood didn't; my hood suffered a minor scratch during install because there was no protective wrap.

Unit is as advertised. Works well removing smoke and steam. Instalation is a little tricky. The hole for the power cord is to close to the mounting screw hole. For the price, I would have expected a hi-lo light feature. Over all I am happy with my purchase.

Great unit/tricky installation

This is very heavy product. Needs two people and a jack to install. Additionally the flapper is so poorly connected to its hinges that it can easily fall off and block the ducting. If this happens then there is $1000+ of expenses because that may require HVAC professional to remove it and may require drywall repair too, otherwise the flapper can completely block air movement. This happened to me. I called the manufacturer and I was not happy with the way I was treated by the manufacturer. They were not willing to admit poor workmanship of their product and blame the installation process. I was very disappointed with this product.
