Surprised it came in pieces to screw together. Pole ends up being very sturdy. Had to redrill holes for metal rod that anchors the pole into the ground. Screws they give you aren't very good. Plan ahead, pre-drill screw holes and use your own longer screws.

THE PEDESTAL IS A PIECE OF JUNK!! The bird house is nice. I ordered this TWICE. Returned the first one because the pedestal which should be easy to assemble was completely faulty. Returned it and was even charged for returning it when it was a defective item! Reordered believing it was just my bad luck to receive a defective post and surely another would be fine. NO! NO! Again, the pedestal is pure JUNK mass produced in China and shoddily manufactured! I like the birdhouse so I now have to go elsewhere to purchase a post more substantial and sturdy. I have lost money on these purchases with returns. Buyer beware. My experience.... pure GARBAGE !!!

This is a beautiful pole, but when you are to screw the bottom to the top, it would not fit the treads to make it screw together. I didn't send it back, but should have. I tried to glue it together with liquid nails, but did not have good success.

I don't think this is a good quality pole

Nice addition to my birdhouse collection. The only problem was, the pole (sold separately) was cracked and wobbly. I ended up having to order another pole to replace the first one. The house itself is beautiful!

Move-in Ready!

The pedestal was easy to assemble and fine quality for the price. However, when we tried to attach the birdhouse some screws loosened and were stripped. We had to reinforce with more of our own screws.

Love it !!! After many months of searching I found exactly the right one to use for my husbands birdhouse .Easy to assemble and looks great, the price was great too !

Would definitely purchase again

The owl was as described and I am delighted with it. The pedestal pole is a different story altogether; (1) it took much too long from the time ordered to the time delivered; (2) the product was defective, part "D" is supposed to screw into part "C", however part "C" was not properly prepared as there was hole, or receptacle, to screw the parts together as part "C" a solid piece, as such it is impossible to screw the parts together. I called and informed P&H representatives of the problem, I was informed they would send a replacement part. That was going on two weeks ago, as of this date I've not been informed that the part is on its way, in short no replacement part has been received yet. Over the past 12 months I purchased numerous products from Plow & Hearth, however, based on the poor customer service I seriously doubt I will purchase another product from P&H.

The pole is exactly what I wanted, but did not receive

A perfect home for your visitors

The look is great but it was difficult to get it straight. I bought three and had some issues with two of them. Had to reset some screws.
