It looks great and is Black.  I purchased another chair that was suppose to be black and was oak color.

It's big enough to rock a baby! I love it it's comfortable and was easy to put together. Pretty also.

Chair is comfortable. In set-up, one of the screws was too long. Fortunately, person putting it together is a carpenter and knew how to saw it down. A major flaw and a problem if an inexperienced person sets it up.

Beautiful chair! Horrible to put together! Holes do not match up. Took several hours to put together! But once done... beautiful... I'd pay the cost and let the store put together
