ONE OF THE BEST BRANDS OF JERKY

I like most jerkies but found this one too fatty - which I guess I should have known ahead of time.  Walmart used to also carry TURKEY JERKY which is my favourite low calorie protein supplement, but I haven't seen it on the shelves in over a year now!  BOO!

Though it tastes like bacon should, it is NOT jerky.  It is NOT dehydrated or smoke dried meat as jerky is supposed to be.  It is just cold  cooked bacon.  it would work better on a sandwich than as a hiking/camping shelf stable traditional dried meat.  Once open, it must be refrigerated or eaten within 3 days.  Hardly  the reliable dried jerky.  Its an expensive package of cold cooked bacon. (about enough to make 2 sandwiches)

Big letdown!

Not good at all.  Just tastes like slightly undercooked, cold bacon.  Definitely not jerky.  Package contains enought to make 2 -3 sandwiches.  Unlike regular jerky, it has to be consumed within 3 days or refridgerated.  Not your typical hiking/camping shelf stable foods
