Quick and creamy! This banana cream pudding mix is easy to prepare—just whisk with cold milk and refrigerate. It has a smooth, sweet flavor that's perfect on its own or as a pie filling. Great for satisfying dessert cravings in minutes.

This is the good stuff. Not for people who are too lazy to cook it and do it right. Instant stuff is flavoured gelatin that is not as good.

The description is incorrect for this product.  It is COOKED pudding, not INSTANT

This is NOT instant pudding

The listing is for instant, but this is definitely a cook and serve according to the box. You can see that in the picture in hindsight, but it's visibly listed as instant (I literally looked up 'instant pudding') and is described as such in the title and info box.

This is more expensive than other pudding mixes, and I bought it to try in a cake, which requires instant, so I have no use for it now. I had it delivered, so didn't realize until too late that it's the wrong stuff. I also incorrectly assumed a big company like this wouldn't leave a grocery item incorrectly listed for so long, according to other reviews who've already complained about this.

Cook and serve is apparently better for eating as-is and can still be chilled (cover with cling film to avoid a skin), though, so if you need it for that and have the time and mobility, it's probably fine. Just an error that needs to be fixed on Walmart's end.

This is NOT instant. Misleading listing.

It was listed as instant pudding it is not it has to be cooked!

Improper listing.

We keep having to buy this version every time we need to make banana cream pie. Unless the entire pie is eaten in 1 sitting, it's a waste to use the cook and serve. The pie will go bad the next day from the warm temperature of the pudding. Bring back the normal instant banana pudding and stop stocking this one.
