The KidCo Auto-Close Gateway is a pressure mounted gate that utilizes our Magnet-Lock Technology to automatically draw the door closed and guarantee it locks each and every time. It also has a hold open feature for those times where the door needs to stay open until it is pushed closed. Perfect for heavily traveled doorways and/or room openings. It’s really the best baby barrier we bought ourselves. It closes automatically, it locks automatically, you don't kid to open it, and it is adjustable at the opening. I wish all my other barriers were that model.

Works great - wide door which can be kept open or closes automatically.  Easy installation with no tools (gap closes when appropriately tightened into place).  We are using as a puppy gate, and got two for a condo kitchen. 
Very happy with our choice. Only caveat is delivery, which said arrival next day (Friday) but took 3 days (to Monday).

Easy installation in doorway (no tools required)

Just received gate today, purchased after much research and reading reviews. I have to say we are very pleased, turns out is is much better than our prior gate. My husband didn't want to replace with a new gate in case he didn't like it. I was happy knowing I told him, reviews say it's a good gate. He did say after setting up, gate works awesome and looks good too. I was hesitant to purchase because of the cost, however, quality and easy use
makes it worth the purchase. The reason I took the time to write this review is simply for the same reason I rely on others comments/reviews for my purchases.

Took a chance, we like!!

Minimal matte black gate. Swings both ways. Takes a little patience to set up if you have uneven walls/floors, but it's great.

Nice design.

Loved the ease of installation and the safety it provides. The automatic closing of the gate is also a real plus.

Easy and safe

In the description, the gate was said to come with two extensions that could accommodate a span of 29”-47.5”. The gate comes with extensions, but there are two different sizes of extensions, a short extension, and a long extension. The gate comes with two short extensions that can accommodate a span of up to 37”. The long extensions are to be purchased separately, which was not clear in the description. That, and they are not available anywhere for purchase anyways, so it doesn't even matter, as I can't use the gate in the area that I was hoping to.

Incorrect Description

The gate arrived in a package from Walmart that had clearly already been opened. The gate obviously been repackaged and returned....so when I got it the ties had been cut already and the instructions had been used.
Also the swing part of this gate doesn't line up at the top with the rest of the railing.  I understand from doing some reading of reviews that this might correct itself when it is finally secured against the wall, however if this is the case then there should be a clear instruction explaining this.  
If it doesn't correct once up, then the system is faulty and I will be returning it.   
Also, I specifically purchased this gate as we have a larger than standard opening to secure- and the specs indicated it can handle an opening of up to 48inches.  However in order for this to be true, there is an additional extension piece of gate that is needed.  This extension was not included with the gate.   The extension is actually a separate piece which needs to be purchased.
If I needed to purchased this to actually be able to enclose the 48" opening then it should have clearly stated that and I would have done so.  All in all I am very underwhelmed by this product and may still return it.

The gate was defective. It couldn't be closed and when i called kidco for support,  after giving me different answers, they just told me to return it to the store.
