It's must-have for my rice and beans ... with lima beans, or most often w light-red kidney beans, and characteristically w Italian sausage or bratwurst. It goes on last with dried garlic. My positive estimation was intact when I saw the America's Test Kitchen episode on soy sauces ... Compared with the remaining assortment of East Asian popular brands, their American-taste evaluation (each of them) rated Kikkoman Soy Sauce - brewed in Milwaukee - clear!y *the best*.

I know they're not all the same. I one time bought a large bottle of light-amber soy sauce from the Philippines ... and it was not right for me - as if much diluted, w then more salt. Maybe there's cultural preferences. And for me, Kikkoman (regular) is my *every day* staple.

I grew up using Kikoman and La choy soy sauce but prefer Kikoman. I cook with it and use it plain on my rice and also on cucumbers. I've tried other brands but always return to Kikoman.

There are some food products that one can buy in generic or alternate discount brands. But, soy sauce is not one of them. There is a difference. Is it salty, yes. That is the nature of soy sauce, but, not excessively. There is a deeper, more developed flavor in higher-quality (and, unfortunately, more expensive) soy sauces. Kikkoman has a very approachable flavor, not too rich or thick. A good go-to sauce for a variety of recipes or as a condiment.

No Substitute

I grew up on Oahu. One of the absolute best recipes I ever learned was Ma's Teriyaki Marinade.  Only 5 ingredients, never fails. Best overnight if marinating meat to cook on the grill. Things like Chicken Wings can be cooked straight from the freezer on the stove.  Most important ingredient is Kikkoman Soy Sauce! There is no other substitute. It won't come out right unless you use Kikkoman!

Kikkoman Is The Most Authentic

Is it the best of the best? No. 
However, it is hands down the best of any that is reasonable priced soy sauce.  

Being traditionally brewed means it was a long, natural fermentation of simple ingredients that gives it a more complex, balanced flavor over other soy sauces that may rely on chemical processing or additives.

|In short, this is a real, pure soy, with all the depth and nuances that comes with being a real traditionally brewed soy sauce that helps elevate dishes rather than just adding a splash of flavor.

A pure real soy with all the depth and nuances

This is the soy sauce I keep coming back to because it just works. Good salty depth without tasting harsh, and it goes with everything from stir fry to rice to marinades. Nothing trendy here, just the one that gets used.

Classic for a reason

Well-known brand. One of the best soy sauce on the consumer market. I use this size to refill my table size pourers. It can add a delicious flavor to any dish, especially meats and vegetables. Cannot live without it. This size is most economical.?

Economic and flavorful soy.

I really love Kikkoman soy sauce. I've tried the other brands, but I can taste the difference between the Kikkoman variety and the others. Unlike other soy sauces, which I need to heat to make more palatable and get rid of the raw taste, the Kikkoman soy sauce I use as is. 

It just seems more palatable and refined. I use other soy sauces, but this brand is both a table, marinating, and cooking soy sauce. The other brands of soy sauce I strictly use for marinating or cooking.

This is the soy sauce I buy every time without thinking about it. The flavor is balanced and consistent, and it works for everything I use it for like cooking, stir fry, marinades, and dipping. It does not taste harsh or overly salty the way some cheaper brands can. The large bottle is a good value and lasts a long time even with regular use. I have tried other brands here and there, usually just based on what was available, and I always end up going back to this one. It is dependable and priced fairly for how often it gets used in my kitchen. If you just want a solid soy sauce that does what it is supposed to do, this is the easy choice.

Best you can buy

The ingredients are the same, it says "traditionally brewed" on the label, and yet it tasted majorly different. I can't eat fresh produce and sushi with it, it can only be used for cooking to reduce the intensity. Won't buy again
