I love this hand mixer.  It doesn't pulverize your ingredients like a cheaper version may.  Clean well also.

I've been cooking 46 years. This mixer is what I've waited for, because it's finally returned to mixing at correct speeds. I cannot believe the "mixing world" went nuts and made every mixer start at high speed. That meant having to have a huge bowl so that most the ingredients would stay IN the bowls. That took 20 years for me to find a corrected mixer. Thanks Kitchen Aid

Amazing return to common sense.

I do love the kitchen aid, however i'm not sure how it holds up against todays kitchen appliances but when my vintage sunbeam hand mixer died after 37 years of use, i bought this. 

The speed leaves much to be desired compared to that, but it absolutely gets the job done! The first one i purchased (through amazon)  had a problem where it emitted a high pitched squealing noise. If it sounds like that- return it. I purchased through Walmart and while its still noisier than what im used to - its as its supposed to be. Very happy about that.

For 60$ i feel i am paying more for the color and brand name than i am getting the value of appliance. However i love how lightweight it is!!! Definitely a bonus. Very easy for my kids to use as well. I do like how the cord can adjust positions from locked to swivel. 

As for quality- only time will tell, ill come back in 40 years and let you know.

Very nice, light weight.

I purchased this mixer as I love kitchen aid products. It is lightweight and easy to use.
My only disappointment is that they changed to beaters and I am not sure when mixing a thicker batter such as brownies how they will hold up.  I wished that they would not have changed them. I have not sure the mixer a lot but plan too around the holidays. I will see how it holds up then. so far so good.

Good Mixer for price

I like my machine but need to get used to it. It is slower on speed 5 than I expected but it gets the job done. It's difficult for me to pop the beaters out and then they fly into the batter. So that takes planning. All in all I wish I had bought the the 9 speed mixer.

Kitchen Aid

As soon as I picked it up I could feel that it is made out of the cheapest plastic available. I bought it cuz it was recommended %231 on Amazon. The twisting attachments were wire thin. Pretty color though. Bought it cuz it was recommended and cuz of the pretty color. Didn't expect such cheap feel plastic.

Skip it and buy something better.

I got it in December to prepare a cake for Christmas. I barely used it 3 times and now that I tried to use it again, IT IS NOT WORKING.
Such a waste of money. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand. Worst product I've ever bought.

Worst purchase EVER

This mixer is awful.  The moment I plugged it in, I knew it wasn't for me.  I'm a retired chef, and this machine lacks any power whatsoever.  How can they even call it Ultra? It's being returned to Walmart.

If you DON'T need a powerful mixer…

I've had two of these cute little mixers and that's the nicest thing I can say.  The first one broke after just a very few uses when the speed control broke off INTO the body of the mixer.  But I thought i would give it another chance, the second is less than 6 months old and one of the beaters fell out of the shaft and will not go back in.  You get a 90 day warranty and that's about as long as they work.  Kitchen Aide should pull these off the market, because they do not deserve the Kitchen Aid name.
