My late husband and I purchased the full-size version a few years ago...and never used it. It was so BIG it was overwhelming instead of being helpful. This small size (for just 1 person now) is perfect!

Just The Right Size!

Kitchen Aid

The mini is a great size mixer and I am happy to have it.  Certain reviews online suggest it is too small to be helpful but that is not true in my case.  It can make a regular size batch of chocolate chip cookies.  And perhaps people who knock the size do not understand that some of us already have other mixers for times when we want to make big quantities.  What I like best about this mixer is I don't have to hold it constantly and avoid splattering stuff out.  I can add ingredients while it is mixing.  Most importantly, I can effectively mix small batch dessert recipes and the paddle reaches to the base of the bowl.  And it's also very cute and easy to put back into my pantry.

I received the Mini Mixer for Christmas and I love it! All the power and ability in a size that works for my space. Excellent craftsmanship, and the color is lovely!

Amazing!

Fits perfectly in my  smallish kitchen. Perfect weight for me and the color is delightful! My Mom always had kitchen aid mixers and loved them. My son has my mom's last mixer. I just gave him a pasta maker attachment for it.  It's heart warming to see it in his kitchen. I can't wait to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies with it.

Small but mighty!

I've had a kitchenaid mixer for years so when my old one quit working, I decided to go smaller and get the new mini version.  I'm so happy I did!  Cute, mighty as ever and just a smaller workhorse.

I enjoy my Kitchenaid mini.  It get the job done just the same as the larger mixers.  Sometimes when you only need a little.  The 3 qt mini is my go to for smaller events.

The Big Little Master

I'm waiting for my 3.5 quart tilt mini stand mixer.  I'm really disappointed because it doesn't appear you have many bowl options and the pastry paddle also would be nice for the mini.  There is quite a few options for the full size models, but not the mini.

I live in a space with a rather small kitchen with extremely limited counter space. The Mini Artisan fits beautifully and gets used often. Unlike the standard one I had been given as a hand-me-down years ago, which was just cumbersome and tedious to use and clean. I love this compact version, and most accessories work with it just as well as with the full-size version, obviously not bowls, paddles, or whisks. I did notice that when I ramp up from off, the motor sometimes stalls in between power levels, and the highest speed (10) no longer works at all. I don't know if this is common across all models, but the full-size one I had eventually only worked at one speed (too high to start, would splatter everywhere). My dad had the same issue with his. I was under the impression that K.A. offered a lifetime warranty on its motors, but I haven't found any confirmation—kind of a shame given the investment in these machines.

Great for my small space!

I love the mixer but the bowl and accessories are rusting.  I have a smaller kitchen so I purchased the mini mixer.  The mixer works well, but any exposed metal is starting to rust. My stainless steel bowl is extremely worn. I do live in a humid climate, but my home is not humid.  friends that have the standard mixer have not had this problem.  My fear is what the motor looks like and if that is rusting too. For an expensive mixer, this should not happen.
