Beautiful piece. Heavy duty, easy to assemble and looks great. Only small problem, was the sanding of the top. A couple Small indentations but no way a deal breaker. Without those it would be perfect. I added small 1" wheels to it and can pull to center kitchen to use then back to wall to just look great. Don't hesitate to purchase. Take this from a 45  year custom cabinet maker .

Over all I am very pleased with this island. Pros: Very sturdy and stable. It is even nicer than the picture and goes with our contemporary decor. The island is a good size for a mid-sized kitchen, easily positioned since it is square in shape. The butcher block top is solid and cleans easily. I do not cut directly on it since it has a glossy finish. It is very tall which is good for us, but I would not recommend for a 
shorter person. Cons: There were issues when it was unpacked. Two of the dowels embedded in the wood pieces were broken off and the plastic feet caps were broken. The baskets edges were frayed badly.  We called the company and they sent out replacements in about 3 days. Also, the basket rails did not fit where illustrated in the instruction sheet, which has no written instructions, just diagrams.
The island looks great in the kitchen and we use it all the time. Good investment and I wish I had purchased it a year ago!

Super buy!!!

Bought this before Christmas and was a little hesitant that I would get what I paid for. But pleasantly surprised that quality was much better. The top is not a solid 4 inches of butcher block but you would only know that if you are the one who put it together. Recommend using glue with screws and power tools to really secure. Otherwise it tended to be a bit wobbly. We love this in our lake cabin!

Better than I expected

We needed to go get some replacement screws because the ones that shipped with the unit stripped pretty easy on one side.  The other side was solid, so likely a slight defect in the one panel.  We are using this as a base for a beverage cooler, and it's the perfect height and size.  We also store the "spare" drinks on the bottom shelf for quick restock.

This piece is sturdy. It takes some effort (two people) to put together. The top is not a solid piece of wood but it is thick. The wood tongs and spoon are not usable in my opinion. They are coated with some kind of varnish? All in all the piece looks good and is very sturdy.

The table looks great however some audible cracking and creaking could be heard during the assembly process. There are also some visible minor cracks. I have some doubts about the overall longevity but it fits the space perfectly and has an appealing look for much less than an actual butcher's block

Great item, arrived quickly, but when I took it out of the box several small parts were broken (the wood, I have pics)...good thing Elmer's wood glue is amazing. There was also a tiny gash on the top of the butcher block, I would have returned it for another, but I just wanted it up and had moved the box outside--- amazingly it turned out ok....I just hate buying something brand new and having to immediately repair it

We bought this product due to it's large size and features (lots of storage).  We were horribly disappointed when our item arrived and we found that not only were several parts damaged in shipping, but the bottom shelf had a manufacturer defect (a board was warped).  I contacted the manufacturer in an attempt to get new parts shipped to us, but was told that they are not currently producing this item; and therefore, did not have any parts they could send.  They suggested that I contact Sam's Club directly or take the item back to the store.  I explained that it weighs A LOT and to package it back up to return to the store would be nearly impossible.  The manufacturer simply didn't care, and did not offer any other solution to remedy the situation.  We ended up repairing the split wood pieces on our own with wood glue, and are hoping for the best that it will hold up...  :(

Good Product, TERRIBLE Manufacturer Support

Had a large scratch on it when I received it. Decided I could live with it. Two weeks later the butcher block part of the table separated at the corner. Very disappointed. Apparently not well made.
