For all of my other cosmetics, I buy only "the good stuff" (and by that, I mean the expensive/ over-priced, high-end products).  However, there's not a single lipstick at Sephora, Ulta, or any of the department store (and I've tried many - Chanel, Guerlain, Dior, Gucci, YSL, etc.), that holds a candle to the way this L'Oreal fairest nude looks.  It makes your lips look plumper without actually having a plumping agent in it (there's something about the color).  It is extremely neutral/nude - so it DOES NOT give a strong appearance of color.  It doesn't dry my lips out like other brands do, and you can use it as a base or all alone.  I keep one in my desk at work, one in my car, one in my purse, and one at my vanity, and all 4 of them cost less than one of the "fancier" items that I've tried.  Don't be dissuaded by the way that the color looks in the tube (it looks completely different on your actual lips).  I have tried several of the other L'Oreal colors, and I haven't been as impressed with them as I am with the 800 Fairest Nude.  For reference, I am 45, medium skin tone, combination skin (with a tendency to get dry, chapped lips in the winter).  I have had my mom wear this, and she has a VERY olive complexion with thin lips, dark hair and dark eyes (and it looks good on her, but NOT my favorite for her skin tone).  I have also had my daughter wear it, and she has very fair/porcelain skin, medium lips, and light hair and eyes, and it looks nice on her as well.  I do think the color is probably best suited for light to medium skin tones.  It looks a little more 60s-era on darker skin tones (but still pretty).

This is my current favorite lipstick right now! The color is a really lovely rose-pink with some great shine to it, and a bit of sparkle - just the right amount to be a bit glam but still appropriate for office/work wear. It's a medium/light shade and perfect for many skin tones, and it has a nice creamy texture that goes on smooth and makes your lips feel great, while not being too soft or messy. I highly recommend this great lipstick with an excellent price tag.

Pure nostalgia from the smell to the color. Smooth creamy formula. Not super long last though. If they ever made it in a long wear liquid lipstick I'd buy 100 of them. 😆

Nostalgia

This is not my shade by itself. Since I'm not returning it, I dab a bit on my lips just to give it a littlecolor not to much. I'm a dark brown girly so if I smother this on I would look crazy. But a lit dab and a bit of gloss it gives what it needs to give.

Not my color but I make it work.

I love this shade, it goes well with softer color outfits. Helps bring out lips. Creamy and shiny. I always get compliments when wearing it.

I was leery of jumping on the Ballerina Shoes viral trend. I really like it!  It's less than $8!  Give it a try!

Lightweight. Doesn't feel sticky or tacky. Lasts pretty long too. Will need to reapply after eating.

Lightweight, beautiful rich color

I don't have a complaint about the product or color.  My complaint is that I received it, opened it to see that it was "unused" (no marks) and sure enough...... Someone had either tried it on or used their finger on the tip!  Very disturbed by this.  And, of course you can't return it with this claim....... They will just assume you did it yourself! Not very happy about this as it's unsanitary!  Check your purchase because you never know!!!!!!

Used lipstick!

L'Oreal Paris

L'Oréal discontinued my favorite Nu'Authentique, so I tried to find a color close to it. I like this color, but the quality of the lipstick is not the same. It started to get gooey/melty around week one. It was messy around the tube making a mess on my fingers. It then broke at the base making it difficult to put on. Now it has broken in a different spot. I will throw away wasting my money.
