This is a good ashy color that will combat yellow undertones. Have used with my own developer as well when I didnt want lift and just deposit. This will lift a couple levels but if you use it on dark hair, you are going to get some orange ,so be careful and know what you want. Will combat orange "some".

This is my favorite hair dye over the decades. After you use it, your hair will be in BETTER condition because of the great conditioner and the color is pretty and long lasting. I have a lot of hair, I use 3 bottles to cover it all.  and then i have 3 conditioner tubes to  keep it in great shape till next color.

I've used Lo'real products for years. easy-to-use,  awesome price for salon quality product. great for gray coverage and anti-aging hair care. highly recommend 👌 👍

This did almost nothing to cover my grey hair, but if I only had a little grey hair, it would probably be a fine product. It was easy to mix and use. 
It has a very strong ammonia smell.  Because all of my hair is grey, it only make it a light shade of blonde, and almost looks like a yellow grey now.

I’m blonde and I was trying to get away from brassy tones. Instead this turned my hair reddish. I was bummed. I wouldn’t use this product again.

I don't know if it was an old batch but I had literally ZERO white coverage. I blind and hard to get it done in the first place but to have my friend tell me I was still white I went back to my old product. I absolutely hate giving a poor review but I rely heavily on them so I feel an obligation

Burnt my scalp, ruined my hair, and color was completely wrong. 
DONT BUY if you want your hair on your head. I had to shave mine completely. 
Now I have no hair. And I had shoulder length. 
If you want to go down to 1inch , try the color. It will fry your healthy hair . I posted my picture. Now I'm using masks, semi permanent color just to get it back to health. Thankfully my hair grows fast .

It will not be color like on the box

if you are a redhead and have been a long time user of 6R from L'Oreal, be aware that this is NOT the same color that you've been using for years. 

The box says it's just a new package and that it's the same color, but it is a much darker, pinker color than the previous formulation. 

also be aware that it says that it's a no drip formula which is absolutely not true. it is the drippiest formula I've used to date. also it does not come with the comb applicator anymore, just the pointed tip applicator. The bottle that you mix in is no longer a tube of cream, but a bottle of "gel" that is more liquid than gel, which is why the final product is so runny compared to the previous formulation. 

I can only hope that this color will fade and/or wash out soon as it looks very fake and I'm very unhappy with it.

new packaging and different color!!! buyer beware

I have been coloring my hair for decades and I have used Preference many times but this was the worse I ever used. There was absolutely no color; no rose blonde at all[; truly no color at all. Will never use it again.

No Color

There was NO CHANGE IN COLOR. I've used this product before and this was a dud. I thought the consistency looked strange, so there's a clue. Defective!
