Didn't have the opportunity to evaluate the product. I purchased the A/C unit as a surprise gift to my neighbor friend, only to find out he had purchased an A/C unit several days before. The box was never opened and he still doesn't know of our intentions.

The delivery of the A/C unit was done very well.

been using this a few wks and so far were impressed with the low noise level and it works great in the 10'x30' sunroom as its name implies there are a lot of windows %26 gets extremely hot but this a/c will also cool the adjoining room of about the same sq ft. i do not care for the eco setting because it tends to turn off and on several times in only a few mins and just seems more annoying and cant really be saving that much $/power. also when the unit turns on it automatically reverts to eco but pushing the mode button makes it easy to set on normal mode

A very nice unit indeed. Especially like the WiFi ability, allows us to turn unit on before entering room. Very quite and cools the room fast.

It covers a lot of space, is quiet and puts out as much cold and/or dry as you would want to avoid any mold problems.  The clean filter comes on too often though and it does not appears to be dusty or dirty.  Same issue I have with a different band purchased last year.   Warning:  HEAVY

Magic

For the most part it arrived without damage. However, one of the side skirts plastic mounting brackets were broken. So, cannot secure it to the window sill. I don't believe that the packaging and positioning of items in the box is effective at preventing this when the package is handled a bit roughly during shipping.

Before mounting the unit, I noticed that application of foam to the inside case was not done all that well. Also the weather strip that you use to seal the bottom of the outer case to the window sill is extremely sticky and very prone to tearing. That makes it difficult to work with when installing.

It works consistently in standard mode and cools a decent sized room relatively quickly. In Energy Saver mode, it turns on for a few seconds, turns off, turns back on after a few seconds and then turns off again. Then, there is a longer time gap before it repeats the sequence perhaps dozens of times per hour. It seems odd and I'm not sure if that mode really saves energy or uses more because the motor has to startup over and over again and high amount of current is drawn each time.

Regardless, it works fine in other modes and appears reliable so far. The buttons work and the remote control works, although it emits a high pitched beep with every button push.

I haven't tried controlling it via WiFi and a phone app. So, not sure how well that works. But, potentially could be great for scheduling start and stop times.

Note that it is relatively loud, but not overwhelming. Even at low fan speed, you'll definitely have to turn up the TV to overcome the noise. 

I would give it a 4.5 star rating if I could, but this site does not offer that option. It would get a 5 star rating if it were quieter, were packaged better for its size and weight and if the energy saver mode operated in a smoother way.

Powerful and effective at cooling a good sized roo

This is super large and VERY heavy - 80 pounds - It is designed to fit into newer sorts of windows, with a narrow place for the window to close down on it and a much different window sill than our old house has.  We had to make a new window sill, and jerry-rig most of the rest of the installation....not to mention just getting it up the stairs and into the window was such a job I don't know how my husband did it.  But now that it is in, it works beautifully.  The instructions are totally confusing - not easy to figure out at best, and in addition, they seem to have been written for a somewhat different product, as they mention hardware items we didn't get, and talk about holes for screws etc that were not there on our unit - so in our case the instructions were worthless.

Good unit but very complicated and hard to install

This cools well if the fan is going constantly, but if on energy saver the start up of the motor is so loud like a whirling freight train %26 will wake you up…that is if you get to fall asleep in between intervals of it starting back up. Also does the same thing when running it on ( DRY) setting when the humidity's high. I thought I was ill because I felt like a fish coughing up water during Texas high humidity summer. You cannot keep the fan on constant except for the ( COOL) setting which brings in outside air. I have another LG in my pool room it does not have this happening but it's an older model. Not sure what to do.

Cools great but….

1st year worked fine and cooled my living room well. The next year the motor has a loud sound and its not cooling as well as it did. I bought this last summer so it might have 4 months of use on it. For $499 it should last years in peak performance... less than one year and I feel like I got a dud.

Loud noises after 4 months.
