I think there is a sweetness to it making this lee kum hoisin a great base as a marinade for almost anything. For stir fry be sure to add later in the cooking process so you don't burn it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lee Kum Kee Hoisin Sauce is a staple in our house. The flavor is better than some of the other brands of hoisin sauce I've tasted. We use it when we make peanut sauce for spring rolls or chicken satays. We also put it in a Vietnamese soup called pho. The sauce is very versatile. Highly recommend if you're never tried it.

The consistency was perfect to add a smidge into any Asian styled meal that I cook, and a little goes a long way. It's a wonderful addition to fried rice and some chicken meals to be exact. I didn't expect the bottle to be plastic but it's made of thick, good quality plastic that held up through shipping and drops as well.

The bottle makes it hard to squeeze once refrigerated as well. I'm not an expert at pairing things with this sauce either so I wasn't sure what to use it with. It is okay though it has a savory almost sweet flavor. I would be sure to cook it with. I would suggest recipes on what to use it with. It could be a versatile sauce I'm just not aware of what.
