Used the previous version for the last 5 years and noticed the difference on the first use of this one. After use my face felt smooth (more exfoliated that usual with just a cleanser) Usually wake up very oily but my skin was still smooth with my night-time routine and I was way less oily especially in my T-zone. Loving it so far!

Loved it!

Excellent Cleanser!! Nice gel consistency, activates into a soft creamy lather when activated with water. I use BioDerma micellar water as 1st step in my "double cleanse" then follow with this cleanser (2nd step). My skin has responded extremely well. I have VERY sensitive skin, i've had no issues at all with the cleanser. I highly recommend this product to anyone!!

Fantastic Cleanser

I bought this a year ago and thought it was good, until I started breaking out. Until 2 months ago, I found out that this cleanser was breaking me out. I didn't know as I was also testing out some new skincare products and thought it was the skincare products as I never had a problem with cleansers before. It also smelled a bit funny, almost like plastic. I was looking forward to it but I'm a bit disappointed.

Broke me out

I've been using the effaclar purifying foaming gel for the past 8 years. I had to stop using the new formula after a month because it made my skin slightly red and dull. My advice would be to strongly consider bringing back the old formula exactly as it was.

New formula unusable

I used the old formula of this cleaner for over 8 years and loved it. It worked so well and I used to get compliments on my skin often. After just a few weeks of using this new version, my skin is completely destroyed. It has caused bad breakouts and left my face red and irritated. Nothing else has changed in my routine except for this cleanser. I would warn anyone with sensitive and acne prone skin against using this.

New formula is terrible

I have been using the old formula for couple of years and it worked well for my acne prone skin. This new formula is a disaster and after using it for a week , my face is damaged with breakouts . I have my consistent skin care routine , the only product changed is this cleaner and I don't like it. I would appreciate if I return the whole bottle and get a refund then wasting money and keeping it.

Worst formula ever

I've been using this for one month and my skin is dry, red, and irritated. My skin barrier is destroyed. I wanted to love this product but it's anything but purifying. I have oily sensitive skin and this cleanser has given me tiny bumps all over my face.

Horribly irritating

terrible. My sister had been using La Roche posay for years and recently stopped because she broke out again. I ended up buying a cleanser, toner and cream to have a consistent skin care routine. My skin has never looked worse. I cannot get rid of the acne breakout that appeared after starting to use the three products. I was going to by the cicaplast to try clear the breakout but thank goodness I read the reviews. I learned that they have changed their formula and everyone is having issues. I have now wasted $80 on products I can't use anymore
