This blows me away. When this arrived I was a bit dumb founded by the box size. No way did I get what I paid for. Anyway I opened the box and cut the plastic surrounding the mattress. I was really expecting a piece of junk. When I cut the plastic that the mattress was last encased in I jumped back not knowing what was going on..... The mattress expanded to a stunning 6" twin mattress, quite magically. I am impressed and it is quite comfortable. Very comfortable to be precise. A good bang for your buck and I am impressed!

I read the reviews and decided to trust the positive things everyone was saying. I was not disappointed! This bed came in a medium sized boxed and I was skeptical at first. Once I cut open the plastic encasing, it just started to inflate.  I wasn't sure how comfortable or sturdy it would be...but it was!!!!  Super comfy, I don't feel any springs.  The mattress seems lighter than others so it is easy to move.  I bought two twin sized ones for my daughter's day bed. One for her to sleep on and one to slide underneath to store for sleep overs.

Exceeded my expectations

When it arrived at my house, it was in a box.  I didn't think it was a mattress at first.  I opened the box and cut open the package it  rolled itself out to a real mattress that my son loves to sleep on.  The first night he just layed it on the floor and slept on it.  I want to get another one for my daughter.

Not what I thought it was

....you need to buy a 2" mattress "topper" (cheap at Walmart) to add some softness to this mattress IF you do not use a FOUNDATION under it.

I also recommend a thick mattress cover from Walmart to seal the mattress from dust mites, etc., from human contact AND this will also make it softer and more comfy!

This is a very lovely mattress but remember one really important thing...

YOU NEED TO LAY THE MATTRESS ON THE FLOOR AND START TO CUT IT OPEN ON ONE END A FEW INCHES - THEN IT WILL BEGIN TO INFLATE AND STARTS TO SPLIT THE COVER OFF BY ITSELF...YOU NEED TO GET A FEW FEET AWAY FROM IT UNTIL IT IS DONE POPPING OPEN AND EXPANDING TO ITS FULL SIZE! 

It's just like the roll of bisquit dough that you open before baking!  Give it lots of room to expand in or it could cause a problem!

I love the fact that this mattress came de-flated in a small box and how it literally OPENED ITSELF UP after I carefully cut one end of the plastic cover....I wish now that I had taken a video of that....it was really cool and fun to see!

This is an excellent mattress and I'm sure the guests who use it in the future will get a sound sleep on it!

Great for the price...but...

Honestly the mattress is great! I ordered two because I have a bibk bed for the kids and I layed on the mattress because some reviews I read said you can feel the springs. I didn't feel ant spring at all. The mattresses are nice and firm and perfect for kids.  I think the price is great for what you get.  It's a great mattress.

I got this mattress because I recently moved out of a furnished apartment and obviously needed a bed. I got this bed knowing it would be for temporary sleeping situation (No longer than 6 months). You can't beat the price. I was expecting to pay hundreds of dollars for a mattress but found this one for a decent price. I'm a college student and many of these reviews target this bed for kids. But here is how I made it work for me: I'm the type of person who's bed is always described as "sleeping on a cloud" and no matter what bed I have, I make that happen. The only way this bed would be comfortable enough for me to sleep on it is if I use foam mats to put on it. I actually used two. I never had the intention to sleep on this mattress without it. But I did lay on the mattress when I got it to see how it felt and it was fine, a typical cheap mattress. But definitely not cloud like. I recommend getting this mattress for short term sleeping like for guest rooms UNLESS you find a way to make it more comfortable for sleeping on it every night.

"You can't beat the price"

I was shocked when both mattresses came in a box rolled up.. I knew they were 6" but wasn't really expecting what I got.. over all they work for my boys and are better than they had but definitely will buy my next mattresses from a outlet not over the internet.

Not what I expected

When I got a small rectangular box and it said it was the mattress, I was shocked.  It's about 11" x 11" by the width of a twin bed.   When you open it up and cut through the two bags, it starts filling up, and takes about three hours to be completely done.  The bed is nice and firm, and very comfortable.

Mattress in a box

Purchased two of these mattresses for our grandsons, ages 2 and 3. Arrived quickly and as advertised. The boys haven't used them yet, so can't comment on performance, but they seem to be just what we needed. They are fairly thin (6"), but that is how they were advertised, and we don't need a very thick mattress for such small children. We are also just placing them on the floor so if they fall off, no problems!

As Advertised

I read the reviews about this product before my purchase so I knew what to expect when I arrived in such a small box. It was actually kind of fun for my daughters and I to "unleash it" and watch it expand. For the width of the mattress, is quite comfortable. If after a few weeks of usage, and she wants a little more comfort I may purchase a box spring. But right now it seems to be the perfect little Nex is quite comfortable. Perfect little mattresses

I bought this for my 5 year old. She is pretty content with it, but I'm not so happy. It's very hard and it has literally no cushion. You can feel the springs/coils. It will do for now but I am planning on purchasing a topper for it. I guess you get what you pay for.
