Discovery mats are tufted in rich brown and black colourway using stain-resistant polypropylene yarns. Polypropylene top surface is quick drying, ensuring that moisture is not trapped in the mat. The stripes on this mat run in the other direction, and cover the entire mat.  I bought 2 of these mats (loved the pattern having bought one over a year ago).  Do not buy this online - get it direct from the store so you can verify that the vinyl edges aren't chewed up from shipping damage.  Both of mine had a damaged side that had to be trimmed off.  The vinyl backing is very poor quality and will break in your fingers when bent.
