I ordered 2 more -one for each bedroom. There's no auto timer but for the reasonable price you can put one on each guest(?) bedroom nightstand . You can prepare it with coffee and water the night before and just roll over and flip a switch while you snooze a bit more until your coffee is ready . It gets the water SUPER HOT so you can just drop a tea bag in the carafe if you prefer tea over coffee . I love Its clean pure white appearance, I highly recommend it.

Gets water super hot, love it

walmart.com

I buy these 2 at a time - they are inexpensive, and I always have one in reserve just in case. Only problem has been pilot error: Shattered Carafe while washing and removed carafe while still dripping. Electrical system did not react well to 1/2 pot of coffee early in the morning.

This coffee maker stays on until I turn it off!!!!

COFFEE MAKER

This is the second coffee maker that I have purchased from this manufacturer. The first one was lost due to a fire. It was a great coffee maker, so of course it was this exact model that was purchased to replace the first one. Simple to use, easy to clean, carafe has easy to read measurements, great price, what else could one ask for?

Must have coffee maker

For under $16 Walmart Mainstay brand delivers a machine that does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do: it makes coffee. You fill it and turn it on AND IT BREWS COFFEE. Turn it off when you are done. Sleek, clean looking and unobtrusive. And it makes coffee. You can't ask for much more for the price!

It Really Does What It Is Supposed To Do!

This is a no frills coffee maker, the second one I have purchased. You buy filters, there is no timer but because the first one lasted at least 8 years before I broke the carafe I bought the same coffee maker again. A whole pot takes 15 minutes to brew, I like the auto pause and it is compact for an apartment counter top.

Simple to use

The price is low, and this is a decent basic, no-frills coffee maker. The only real drawback is that the water drains through the basket too quickly, making a weak tasting brew. I've found I need to use two coffee filters each time; it allows the coffee to steep a little longer, although it also filters out some of the flavor. I will probably switch to a different machine.

I was ready to return this coffeepot because it took too long to make a pot of coffee. Then, I decided to try unlocking the lid which was really tight. Today, it worked more efficiently. The tight lid made the drip function malfunction so coffee did not flow into the carafe. I've bought this pot for years because it makes a hot cup of coffee. It last a year, then starts to make a loud sound and the base begins to rust out. It's still better than Target, JCP options and it's cheaper.

Too slow making coffee, just unlock the lid.

I have had this item for about four months. It makes a good strong pot of coffee. But, the filter basket occasionally misaligns over the carafe causing coffee to leak out. And, it is difficult to clean afterwards. A good budget option but requires you to watch the coffee brew to ensure it works correctly.

The filter basket occasionally misaligns

We ordered this because we never use a timer, and this was about $10 cheaper than one with a timer on it. However after using it for a couple weeks, there are 3 design flaws that make this undesirable.

1) There is no auto shut off switch, you have to remember to turn it off, which I feel is a fire hazard. 2) The water fills into the top area faster than it pours into the carafe. This creates an overflow of grounds on top of the filter and into the entire well area, it is very messy to clean. 3) This may be related to the issue in %232, on more than one occasion it looked like it was done brewing, so I took the carafe off to pour my coffee, then water started coming out again onto the hot plate. So either it's backed up because of the issue described prior, or there is no functional way to turn off brewing when you take the carafe off. Every other coffee maker I have owned, cheap or not, stops emitting coffee when you take the carafe off.

I was hopeful this would be an inexpensive no frills option, but I don't think it's worth it personally with these issues.

Design flaws not worth it currently
