shipped well, material is like canvas so i wouldn't sleep directly on it, but a nice Mainstay set of queen sheets was a perfect fit. you can only slightly feel the bars of the futon through it, it may wear down after time, but for guests for free...what more could they want!

Read some of the reviews and couldn't really see where the negative ones had any bearing on the actual product sold.  I thought the futon mattress lived up to everything I understood from the description offered.  If I was expecting a down mattress, Serta, or Select Number bed, then maybe I would have just cause for complaint.  I am extremely happy with the futon mattress and would gladly purchase the same one in the future if the case ever arises again.  Great value for the money, and very comfortable.

Forget the Naysayers...

the fact that ive had this futon for like a week and some change.. the thing is already flatening.. only been a week and i already want to spin it.. for a pinch its fine and i sleep well on it.. just its only a few inches of cushion. cant be getting flat.   i wouls take the picture but im sure you will see other say the same

This mattress is a good bargain for the price. You are not getting a hight end mattress, you can pay more and get more. For the purpose of having a comfortable mattress that you can sleep on every now and then, this is a very good deal. It comes crammed in a box and you will need to let it lay flat for several days to let it flatten out. Well made though and of course, Wal-Mart ships it very quickly and it arrived in great shape.

Good deal for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was what I expected.  it is thin in design, 6 inches, therefore for me being my size and weight, it can be uncomfortable.  the price was good for my budget. I wished I had purchased the 8 inch, but it was not avaliable and I  needed it  quickly. Again, for  the price and availability it was a five star. but for me, functionally a 3 star. Now, you can evaluate it from here. I  hope this is helpful.  It is not a firm mattress

Just as title says, I use it as my primary bed. I bought this 2 weeks before this review and I say its an okay product. My one complain is that the material inside can get shifted very quickly. E.g. you sleep in middle, in 2 days there will be a sag and it feels like I am sleeping in a small hole.
If you are thinking of getting it delivered, fair warning, this mattress is tightly curled up and fit in medium sized box for delivery, causing the material inside to shift - so the bed won't be even when you receive it.

The size and color is perfect. However I would not say it's 6 inch. It's more like 3 or maybe 4 inch and it wears quickly feeling a lot thinner and less comfortable.

It's quite a bit thinner than advertised

This futon mattress had metal things going through the mattress. They were used to make it quilted. Very uncomfortable and I could see where they would come apart easily. Not sure why it was designed out but very poor design. I would not recommend this.Poor design

when looking for a futon mattress i thouggt the color looked good and the fabric was nice looking.even looked for one that was.a littlw thicker. however when i got it. it is not grear super light not at all ok to sit or.sleep on my cheap couch has a thicker denser couahion.

I purchased this futon mattress online to replace one that had been damaged. I was at home when the delivery was made and was excited to finally have a replacement so I opened it right away. The mattress arrived in just a shipping box (not in its own product box, but in a regular shipping box) rolled up - not so neatly - and bound with a single plastic band. And that was it...no plastic wrapping or protective covering of any kind, no documentation, no packing slip...no nothing! The box was damaged with a couple puncture holes and what appeared to be mildew on the bottom flaps. The mattress itself was dirty and smelled musty. There is no way I would want to sit or lay down on that thing! Even if it had been properly packaged, I doubt I would have kept it. It felt and looked cheap and thin. It would probably work for a futon that is rarely used (like an office or spare room), but I was looking for a mattress to replace a futon in one of my kids' rooms which is used quite a bit. I order online quite frequently from Walmart, and this is the only time I have been really disappointed with my purchase. I don't know if this is the norm for how they package and ship this product, but if so, I would not recommend anyone purchasing this mattress. (At least online...but I have yet to find this or a similar product in-store.) I have returned the mattress, which was an ordeal in itself...and I've purchased a replacement elsewhere.
