(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It was my first time to try this honeycomb-style of cookware, and I found it very interesting. The butter and oil warmed up easily, however, when I cooked pancakes (as also seen on the photos), some parts were browned too much and some stayed pale, which meant that the entire pancake wasn't cooked evenly. I have to flip it over and over for a bit until I got the colour I wanted. I did cook some ground beef with veggies and it turned out ok—just the way I expected it to be cooked. I would maybe consider buying a smaller one, as it may be better with an even heat distribution.

While my steak didn't stick, the meat juices and seasonings stuck to the pan. The raised dots for the hex pattern keep  everything on the the pan. You get weird  black residue from the surface balled up and have to scrub with a silicone brush or paper towel to remove. The pan isn't retaining heat properly on flat cooktops. The Rock pan worked better than this one.

Not truly non-stick

It's slightly nonstick, but when food does stick, it's very difficult to clean. Even after soaking it overnight, stuck-on food can still be hard to remove. The honeycomb pattern seems to trap food particles, making them difficult to scrub off. I wouldn't recomend this pan.

Don't bother

Everything sticks to the bottom of the pan when I cook. Even very first time use.  It's a fake HexClad, and its terrible

Its falling apart after one use my coating is coming off in the food and the store wouldnt refund me even though it had only been 6 days

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I really wanted to love the Mainstays 8 in. Honeycomb-Clad Stainless Steel Non-Stick Skillet. It felt like good quality in the hand and was the perfect size for making scrambled eggs. Unfortunately, my experience changed once I started cooking with it. I noticed that the food was turning black and had black specks in it. When I gently rubbed the sides of the pan with a paper towel, the black coating actually started coming off. For reference, I hand washed the pan before its first use and only used a soft silicone spoon to stir.
Ultimately, we had to throw out the food we made and will not be using the pan again, as it does not seem food safe. Very disappointed with this product.
