Does not completely block out light, allowing some to pass through.

These are perfect for a midweight blackout curtain. They are the second to last darkest blackout they have, and they work perfectly. They are smooth on each side, and the inner layer isn't plastic like so many are, that stick to painted walls in the heat.  There is a slight shimmer to the black, it's not matte. I bought 9 for a three part window, and absolutely could have gotten away with just 2, but wanted more fabric to block the heat out (house faces sun all day.)  I love them and will be looking at other rooms in my house to upgrade to these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received these Mainstays Cooper Thermal Insulated Blackout curtain panels from Influenster
to try out. These panels are 40x84 so perfect for longer windows. I plan on using this for a glass door I have that lets in way too much sun. These panels block out the sun pretty well. They are also very easy to install as well. You just need a curtain rod. They are easy to remove and clean. They are in between thick and thick think quality of material. These will definitely come in handy during summer time. I look forward to purchasing more.

It was easy to put up because of the grommets on the top of the curtains.  I would most definitely recommend these and will be buying more for my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The curtains do their jobs. It keeps light out and the material is thick enough that it doesn't let light in. It seems to keep the cold out a bit which is good. Only issue is they are a bit too short width wise to  fit my door fully so there is a gap on one of the edges.

Thick but not wide enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried Mainstays Cooper Thermal Insulated Blackout Curtain Panels hoping for full blackout and better insulation, but honestly, they're a lot thinner than I expected. The material feels light, and even though they help dim the room a bit, they don't completely block out the light like true blackout curtains should. They look nice and hang well, but if you're looking for total darkness or serious thermal insulation, these probably won't cut it on their own. I'd recommend layering them with a liner if you still want to make them work.
