I bought this via the Canadian website as I have for many years made many projects using yarn.  I saw many reviews of this brand and also the Red Heart yarns.  For what I buy these products for - I have never been disappointed with what I've received from the Walmart stores in Canada.  As for the prices of some of these things I have noticed that the prices have increased, but because that is all a part of the way things are for many other things - I am finding that regardless of the prices - as long as I can afford to buy these products - I will continue to do so for future tasks that I need or want to do.

excellent quality yarn..perfect for my project

mainstays yarn

this is okay yarn but the quality is inconsistent. you have spots where it is thinner than others and other spots that are thicker. it tends to be very pilly. I made an Afghan out of the sandstone I think it was called and it was not soft at all. I washed it and it was much better. I also made napkin out of the green and it was much softer. didn't make much sense to me, same brand different color.
