Even though I saw many reviews of this brand of Mainstays Yarns, I am not happy with the results of this product.  When I started using this brand I lost count of how many times I had to 'cut a piece out' and continue using up what was here!  I never have bought this product as I always had better quality when I had to roll the Red Heart brand into balls to avoid fraying and many knots while doing so.  Here using Mainstays I've lost count of how much of this product was TOO FRAYED some were in lenths of 1 foot long pieces of this thread that I was very disappointed regardless of the price being about the same as the Red Heart brands.  I bought a huge order of this product that I thought was worth trying because of their price but as for what I have had to go through in winding or gradually using up this brand of the yarn, I have lost quite a bit from the 454 gram size of this yarn.  For what I was trying to achieve in making lapsized afghans, I am afraid that when it comes to buying this BRAND of MAINSTAYS at 454 also acrylic type or texture - I will from now on buy only the Red Heart brands as I have not lost anywhere near the amount of yarn I had with Red Heart.  As for others saying it was worth the price.  I strongly feel that for me and what I want to do with it - IT IS NOT WORTH REBUYING anytime soon!  I am disappointed with the quality I've gotten from this brand so far.  I also had the same issues with the white and charcoal grey colors of Mainstays that I'd bought and are using up.  Red Heart is what I'm going to stick with from now on - SORRY!

I won't buy Mainstays for future buys in yarn
