Love this futon, it was easy to assemble and provides a great seating area. My only note is that the futon into a bed is that the mattress is very firm. If you like firm you'll love this, would like a bit more softness to the mattress for sleeping but can be remedied by adding a mattress pad in full size.

Really good for the price

The item was delivered on time however, we received the fasteneres set scattered within the box. The item was very heavy and sturdy, assembly was slightly difficult but overall doable, rubber pads provided were very thin and would have been better thicker, exposed ends of bolts needed to be covered (for child safety) but the covers were not provided, several portions of the metal frame have sharp ends which needed to be covered (for child safety).

Overall, it was fun assembling the item and we are very happy with it.

Mainstays Futon Review

Good quality for the price but some negative points. To start a hollow is formed after only 2.3day to sleep on the hollow cushion, then when position lying back remains a can on raise and finally when one puts the futon in sitting position its deformed cushion which sound in a single cover divide into 4.

Absolutely terrible.  Took 4 hours to assemble then once it was done the zipper broke when I was zipping it up.  Decided after it took so long to put together I would give it a try.  It is very uncomfortable and pops up if you put a little weight on one side.  If you buy this keep the box for when you need to return it.  Or better yet don't buy it!

Horrible!!!

Hi, I'd like to request a refund for the bed I recently purchased. The product does not match the pictures or description on the listing. Once I unfolded the bed, I noticed a clear bend in the middle, and the surface doesn't stay straight. This makes it uncomfortable and not usable as intended.

Donot buy waste of money

Poor quality and it doesn't fold into a bed without a bit of unscrewing so now we're stuck leaving it in the bed position (if you can even call it that). It was allegedly $80 off when I purchased it and then not even a week later it is being advertised as $20 off from the “sale price” I bought it at and Walmart refuses to adjust the price. Save your money and put it towards something a bit more expensive but also better made. Was told I can't return it.

Save your money

i would actually like to request a full refund for this product. The entire process of ordering it, having to rent a U-Haul to pick it up because Wal-Mart wouldn't deliver ($65 I'll never get back), awkward assembly, poor construction (Boeing metal, bad quality foam pillows instead of a proper mattress), and jagged edges causing damage to my walls, all lead me to conclude that this product is not at all worth the hassle and extraneous costs I've incurred as a result of purchasing it. It is a large expense I deeply regret, and I want my money back. Returning such a massive item in person is also ridiculous as it is near impossible for anyone without a truck or who is physically disabled. If I tried to do it their way, I would likely get injured and incur even more rental fees.

Not recommended

This product is ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE! Do not - I repeat - DO NOT invest your hard earned money into buying it. The bed dents smack in the middle, leaving you with back pain. The foam is so stiff that it does not bend to become a couch.

I regret buying this product. This is BORDERLINE SCAM!

Garbage - waste of money!

If I could give zero I would. Got it home assembled it seemed to work fine at first just a little stiff and the super thick memorey foam flattens if you sit in the same spot after about 5 days in a row to a point so thin you can feel the bars on your bottom to avoid this you better hope you dont have a favourite spot and move to different positions each day. Now 2 weeks into owning it i had family over I myself weigh 218 my uncle who weighs 168 both sat on it and the plastic feet built onto the metal hollow poles (that can't be replaced) that are the feet in the center of the futon broke, one completly shatterd  now the leg hovers above the ground instead of making contact and the other one broke but is still half there. This left the center of the futon not being centerd i guess that or its poorly made cause i myself had a favourite spot the far right side of it next to my end table after a month of owning it i got up went to switch it from sofa to bed mode and arm the bends on the right side to allow it fold broke not even the arm part the metal pin built into the arm that conects to the frame broke off and since its a welded piece again cant be replaced without buying a whgile new sofa for just one part. So after paying full price and having it deliverd to my home I no longer have a futon and have been forced to get rid of it leaving me out hundreds of fdollars as well as a sofa that was never abused, never jumped on, and keot within posted weight limits. Honestly this product was garbage shame on walmart for carryingit save your money for something and somewhere else.

Worst futon I ever owned

I was very disappointed with this product and the instructions . It was very complicated to put together and screws were missing ! I regret buying it and wish I could return it but I don't feel like taking it all apart  again. Not very comfortable either ! I bought because it was on sale but I will never buy anything I cannot try .
