Does the trick. Feels silky and smooth on my skin. Does not cake on, but coverage is good. I think it is up there with some pricier names. Try it. You will be pleased.

Works well

This is a soft, buttery, powder. I moisturize, dab a little matte primer onto my T-zone, and top it with this powder...no foundation...and my combination, aging, skin looks youthful and flawless. It doesn't settle into fine lines and gives me a soft, filtered look...not at all cakey and powdery. Tip...if it breaks, just smash it all up as fine as you can, add rubbing alcohol and stir, then leave it open until the alcohol evaporates and it hardens back into a pressed powder again. Pressed powders are very easy to fix using this method. Great powder for an awesome price!

You Can Fix Broken Powder

maybelline.ca

I have normal/dry, mature skin and wanted to try a powder foundation as it is more lightweight to wear during the summer. After perusing some "high end" choices and being underwhelmed by them, I came back to Maybelline. Most of my favorite foundations are Maybelline so it seemed like a logical choice. I know the Dream Wonder powder is not technically a "foundation" but it should be marketed as one. The coverage is awesome and goes on smoothly. It looks like I'm wearing a smooth foundation but it is so lightweight it doesn't feel like I'm wearing one. I love the soft, velvety texture! The finish is quite matte but I use a few tricks to soften the final look. After applying my moisturizer and facial sunscreen, I then apply a primer that's actually a setting spray. I pump a few sprays onto a dampened beauty sponge and press it into my skin. This really helps diminish pores and fine lines. After it dries I then apply my Fit Me concealer where needed, then the Dream Wonder powder. I use a flat top foundation brush and buff in a circular motion to blend. After applying the rest of my makeup, I finish with a dewy setting spray. The final look is satiny, almost airbrushed. Very pleased with this powder!

Excellent Coverage!

I have bought this product several times in the past year. It works great, unless it breaks apart. This is the second one in a row that I've bought that has broken within the first couple of uses. If it doesn't crumble to pieces first, I use it all up and it's great.

Great, unless it breaks apart

i've been using this powder for years. but in the last few months, the ones i buy have been crumbling. i just purchased one today, and it's already broken. really disappointing.

Maybelline Consumer Care

I have been using Maybelline Dream Wonder pressed powder for a few years now. In the last year or so the last 4 or 5 compacts I have purchased have crumbled. It's quite difficult for me to go to the store and get one that isn't already crumbled and when I do purchase one, I try to treat it quite delicately because it seems so fragile. As you can see, it doesn't matter how well I treat it. It's growing quite irritating.

Maybelline Dream Wonder pressed Powder

Maybelline

Love this line!! Pros: stays on all day, I have oily skin most days and it's not noticeable at all! Definitely a plus!!! The 1 MAJOR NEGATIVE is... after 2 days I go to use it and pull out this: WHY MAYBELLINE, WHY?? Please replace this with something that doesn't break so easy!!

broken after 2 days.

I have bought this product at least 6 times. 4 out of the 6 it cracks and I have to somehow put it back together to use until I can buy another.
Love the product. But please fix the cracking issue
Also the mirror at the bottom is kind of not usable.

Breaks Easily

The first time I bought this product, it lasted all but 9 days before breaking apart into a powdery mess in my makeup bag. 2nd one had a hair line crack on it that I didn't notice when I bought it - that one eventually became a powdery mess. Bought the 3rd one on Saturday and you guessed it.....broke again! The unbelievable part is that it crumbled up by me using my kabuki brush. And now reading the reviews I realize that this is definitely a Maybelline issue. C'mon fix this issue, there are far too many complaints about the same thing. The powder is great when it doesn't break, the color is perfect for me (Sun Beige #85) but at this rate I'm going broke having to buy a new one every couple of weeks. I urge Maybelline to look into this once and for all.

3RD TIME BUYING & BROKE AGAIN ! SERIOUSLY MAD !!

The product has potential when it doesn't crumble into pieces. 3 out of the last 5 I have purchased has crumbled apart after the first use or second use.
