Really like that it's solid bamboo. Does exactly what I need it to do. Honestly it's not any harder than putting together Ikea furniture. But the quality is much nicer being that it's solid wood and not particle board!

Perfect size for a tabletop / desktop. Holds many reference books easily. I am using it for college, my stack of books is now easy to access.
I found it easy to assemble, not really easy, but fairly easy.
It is sturdier than I expected.
The finish on the "wood" (bamboo) is very nice.

Actually we are bamboo fans.  I purchased it for my 11-year old daughter. She was so happy when she got the gift and she like it so much! She assembled it by herself according to the instruction without any help which gave me a big surprise! And what makes me more surprise is no more mess on her table! Everything organized well!!!

Beautiful as the pictures showing,and the design is very smart,you can adjust the length of the shelf base on how many books you have.The drawers are very helpful for small items organization.

Easy to put it together, 7 year old assembled 99 percent of it. as advertised nice small shelf.

It extends to a great size and the drawers are a nice size, small. I have it on my TV stand without books but it has a great decorative quality. Definitely recommend.

Easy setup, sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a beautiful blonde bamboo wood adjustable single level desktop book case. It has a simple design that blends well with most furniture styles. It can expand from 13.4 inches to 24.8 inches. It's 7.5 inches deep by 7.8 inches high. It comfortably holds everything from Green Eggs and Ham to advanced medical reference books. It's a suitable simple style for anything from a child's room to the master bedroom. It's scalability allows it to easily go from desktop to wall shelf. It can neatly organize books, magazines, albums, folders, binders, and more. The unit has back support bars so wall support isn't required. 

You do have to build it. It's an easy build but I have very large hands. The little Allen key included required to fasten the Allen key headed screws made the build harder than necessary. I would have preferred Phillips head screws so I could have used a screwdriver.

I highly recommend the Maydear Bamboo expandable single level desktop organizer bookcase. It's a beautiful, simple design that is a nice, functional addition to any room.

Great for organizing books. The drawers are an added bonus as well as the expandable shelves. Very attractive and looks great on any desk or workspace.
