I love these hikers that I bought a second pair.  They are very durable and comfortable. I have had my first pair for about five years and walk all over my property with them. Don't let your dog catch you putting them on, because she'll know there's you're going for a walk.

Nice Pair of Hiking Shoes

I love my Merrells.  I live in these and replace them every 6 months or so.  They fit my narrow foot, offer great support, are very comfortable and function for general knock around shoes as well as serious walking shoes.  My only complaint is that the tread picks up gravel, which I tend to track into the house, but not much to be done about that other than wiping your feet.

Last year I was involved in an accident that left me with a severe ankle injury...six broken bones,, and an open fracture..two operations. 
I developed some foot issues also.
These are the only shoes I can wear that allows me to continue my outdoor activities..
Fishing...long walks.
I can stand for a longer time while fishing in my boat...
I highly recommend these shoes if you have foot or ankle problems.

For those of you out there with wide feet like me looking for a great fit and comfort, look no further. The Moab 2 Ventilator Wide Width is the one for you. I have tried several of the top brand hiking shoes and nothing comes close. I am a repeat buyer of this shoe.

Your gonna love the fit.

I work for the USPS. I am on my feet 6-8 hours per day, walking approximately 7 miles a day. Merrills are the only shoe that I have found that are comfortable right out of the box. That and they last 2-3 years under this daily grind! I'm sure I could double this under normal wear and tear. And I'm not the only mail carrier that swears by Merrill.

My husband loves them. I have a similar model of Merrill hiking shoes too. As seasoned hikers, we both were concerned about not having the ankle support of hiking boots. I have liked Columbia hiking boots in the past. But these have the advantage of being lighter weight and easy to break in. With hiking boots that come up around the ankle, I usually end up having to cut out a hole from the foam liner for my ankle or else it presses and hurts my ankle bone badly. These are comfortable out of the box. No break-in time. They'll be easier pack in a suitcase than hiking boots and more comfortable to wear on a plane. They aren't waterproof, but they're breathable and will dry out quickly. Haven't tested out water resistance yet as we're mostly desert hikers. Shipping took five business days to southern CA.

Heavy duty with instant comfort, no break in time

This is my second pair of these shoes, and I only needed them to keep my professional look at work.  My first pair are still going strong as work shoes for around the shop, but it took two years and many city and country miles to get there.  Being covered in marine paint they still are going strong every day.

Awesone shoes

Finally found a Great shoe for me. I have neuropathy in my feet and the Merrill hiking shoes are a great stabilizer for my feet. And I can get most in wide.  I'm hiking again !  plus the colors are nice too.

Hiking in Oregon

While they are light weight, the soles give you really good grip when on hard slopes or soft ground.  The soles don't roll like they do on many hiking shoes.  I often do 10+ miles going cross country in a day.

always thought i had to have big clunky shoes, these are like wearing walking shoes!  shoes got wet all the time but with the right kind of socks it was never a problem.  i am sold!

Horrible shoe. I have 5 other MOAB's over 7+ years that I love/loved, but this one has something seriously wrong with it. The cushion insert is "rock hard" and does nothing to improve cushioning. I literally feel all the the sole's exterior knobs with every step. Substituting a Doctor Soles insert did little to help. A lot like walking barefoot over gravel.
