Real good German type, full kernel, healthy bread.

Yes it is healthy.  And tastes superb.

Strong rye taste, as you might expect with bread that is both whole grain and all rye, no wheat.
Dense texture, like thin sliced rye and sunflower porridge - if it was possible to slice porridge.
One of those flavour and texture combinations that people tend to either love or hate. Or be
puzzled by, if they've never before encountered anything quite like it.
Using two slices with filling to make a sandwich doesn't work well in terms of the structural
integrity of the finished product, the bread tends to crumble when used that way. Best to cut a
slice in half or quarters and use it as the one slice base for toppings.
I have it for breakfast lightly toasted with peanut butter on one half, marmalade on the other. Or
cheddar half melted on it. Or with kippered herring, pepper mackerel, or brisling sardines.

Strong rye flavour, dense texture

Review

At times we have a package with mold.  For the first many years we never had any problems, but this last 6 months we have had two.  Can you suggest what we are to do once we find one?
Notice package has never been opned.

This was terribly expensive. The flavor was great. Why doesn't Walmart carry it in -store??

The sunflower seeds were over powered by the strong rye flavor. And it was quite dry.

There are only 6 slices of bread and I was charged $4.50.
