I work on a boat, this tape fell in the water over a year ago. I pulled it out with a magnet the other day. It works great still!

I've been using these 16 foot tape measures for years in my small wood shop.  Usually I use them until they just wear out, which is typically a long time.  However the last one I purchased didn't last too long until the end of the tape broke off and the tape sucked back inside, never to be seen again.  I hate to throw it away since it's fairly new.  But I can't seem to find replacement parts anywhere.

Great Compact Tape!

Bought just under a year ago and the cheap slide lock broke in half in 1 place & looks like there's another place that is split half way through. I'm just a homeowner, not a contractor so it doesn't get used often enough to have that happen. I have a no name brand tape measure I was given with a promotional company logo on it and that still works fine after over 25 years. Very disappointed!

Won't buy a Milwaukee tape measure again!

Same issue as LRSFireFighter - The blade is flimsy. It bent easily, twisting the end. It will not extend without collapsing. I can't even hook it on something because of the twist. I always found Milwaukee brand dependable but this product has been a disappointment

Twisting and flimsy

I use for general carpentry and low voltage/comm. Used maybe two-three times over a couple of days and, as many others have reported, the end of the tape is already bent and cracked :-(. Enough people have reported this that I believe this unit should be recalled. Other than the blade issue, the rest of the unit seems solid.

Milwaukee should recall. Another cracked blade.

New tape, got about 30 mins out of it before both hands were bleeding and the blade broke. I'd ask for a replacement but I don't think they'll give me a Stanley.lca

Piece of trash

Was using the tape to measure a closet to install a shelf and the blade bent and crinkled compromising the accuracy of the measurements.  I have barely used this and it is already broken.  This is the first time I've been disappointed in a Milwaukee product.

I'm a carpenter , been doing this for 40yrs. . The tape blade is to thin , doesn't stay rigid past 6' , blade twists to much . Guess it's ok for a D.I.Y. guy . No good for production work !!!

Junk
