From my research, this is very good oil based on the additive package. I also do used oil analysis & Valvoline performs very well. My engine has 130k on it & the inside is very clean. I rotate oils every 4-5K. 2 rounds of Extended protection Max life to 1 round of Restore & protect to keep the pistons super clean. I did 4 oil changes with Restore & Protect prior to starting Extended protection Max life High Mileage.

Great additive package.

Valvoline

Bought a Lexus gs350 w 150k miles, owners stretched the oil changes so I noticed a bit of oil burning but after running 2 rounds of restore and protect and two rounds of max life my puppy is doing significantly better, also noticed a 3 mpg increase. Used to get around 301-310 miles per tank now getting 370's sometimes even more with highway driving. Extremely pleased with American made oil

Burning oil reduced significantly

I have been using this oil in my 2008 Chevy suburban for years now. I have over 280k miles on my suburban, and I think that Valvoline is helping my vehicle last for such a long time. I would recommend this oil for anyone who wants their vehicle to last a long time. Thanks Valvoline!

The Only Oil I Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I prefer to use the high mileage formula as my car has over 200,000 miles and would like to get a lot more miles out of it. I had to replace a valve cover gasket and from using Valvoline routinely the inside of the motor looks almost as good as it was when it left the factory.

Excellent Oil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually change my oil about every 5000 miles. I have used Valvoline for some time now so I thought I would give the extended protection in full synthetic a try. I changed my oil and paired the oil with the extended protection oil filter. When I change my oil at 5000 miles it is usually fairly dark. I checked my oil right around 4500 and was shocked at how light it still was and I took a long trip during that period. I continued to monitor the oil until I hit 7500 miles and I decided to change it. As I drained the oil it was clear that my oil still wasn't as dark as it usually is at 5k. I am pretty impressed and maybe next time I'll take it to 10k. I am very happywith this oil.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Valvoline high mileage synthetic oil. Perfect for my car. It has over 200k miles and run so great with a synthetic oil. I have tried others and it just does nit ever work as well as the Valvoline synthetics. Smoother idling and improved gas mileage. Would never risk a conventional oils on my car. Plus the fact that you can go 7500 to 10k between changes is a huge plus as it also saves me money and time. Even when run for 8000 miles the old oil still looks good. Amazing at how a car with this many miles still runs like a low mile car. Wil never change brands. Thank you.

Great synthetic oil for my high mileage car

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this full synthetic product for quite some time in our 2013 Hyundai Elantra.  It has over 200,000 miles and this oil has worked wonders over the years.  No engine problems and some engine knocking that began at 60,000 miles has reduced considerably.

Only Oil I Trust

I've been using Valvoline motor oil since 2022 switching over from Mobil One. This was recommended to me by someone that works at Valvoline corp for the best high mileage product they make.  When looking for a good motor oil I was told by a professional that the viscosity index is a big player in quality motor oil. This individual said anything of a 150 or higher is good. This is paticular oil is 162. I'm very happy with this product and highly recommend.

Highly Recommend

This oil was put into a used vehicle that I was getting ready for my daughter's friend. After doing various repairs on the vehicle I wanted to change the oil and filter. This came along just at the right time. Being a young female and purchasing a vehicle is a big step. I can rest assured that at least the engine will be protected and secure using this oil.

Meet expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just changed the oil on my wife's 125,000 mile BMW X3. We have always used the BMW oil or Castrol Edge full synthetic. This Valvoline full synthetic is formulated with additives to reduce sludge in high mileage engines. It also has a higher resistance to breaking down with higher thermal resistance and increased wear protection. 
Several other users have reported that the oil doesn't darken as quickly as others with less residue & build up by 5k mile oil changes. They also report that fuel e i omg improved slightly. 
We will need to put some miles on the car to evaluate these additional benefits at the next oil change but Valvoline are a well known quality brand so I have no hesitation in recommending this oil for high mileage engines.
