I think this is the best brand of brown rice in the retail market. Make sure the water needed to steam this brown rice is enough. For sure, brown rice requires more water than white rice. Also, it cooks longer. This one is yummy and it's earthly and with a subtle nutty flavor. It helps with glycemic control as well as it provides fiber to one's diet.

This is my goto brand rice.  It doesn't have all the dry husks the cheap brands do, doesn't require much, if any, rinsing.  If you cook it right, it will be nice and fluffy.  Probably the best bang for buck on the market.  Hopefully it will stay that way, or I'm going back to dollar tree brand.

I've never been a fan of brown rice, neither the taste or the texture.  I know how to cook it properly but it never had an appealing texture.  Just made this last night for the first time.   I wanted to see how it would be on its own, without adding meat or vegs to it.  I used one  packet of Sazon GOYA Con Azafran seasoning (also sold at Walmart) to two "rice cups" of rice in the rice cooker.  Just water and a little olive oil, nothing else.  Talk about simple.

The first thing I noticed was the appetizing aroma that wafted through the kitchen as it cooked.  As a side dish on its own it was so good I'm eating the leftover rice tonight, still adding nothing more to it.  The texture was softer, chewy, with no hulls mixed in.  This is a keeper brand for me.

A better brown rice - try it

Great product. I portion it what the rice cooker can handle, rinse it, soak it, rinse it again, then let the rice cooker do is magic. Great taste and texture every time.

I mainly bought the rice to make up food for my dog. Don't get me wrong. It's not that I haven't tasted it and it's not good. It's just the main reason I bought it was for my dogs, homemade dog food, which she loves!

Trying to be healthier and eating brown rice instead of white. This rice has a great taste and texture. I still buy white rice but in much less quantity

Authentic Japanese rice. Great price. We use the same rice cooker to cook this brown rice as the white rice we've been cooking for years. It takes longer to cook than white rice. We had to play with the rice-to-water ratio to get the exact texture we like. We ended up settling on the following ratios:
For 1 cup rice, use 1

I was unable to use this product because the whole inside of the bag was crawling with bugs. Thankfully, they didn't spread to anything else in my pantry.

Developed weevils within 60 days of purchase

I just opened my bag of rice this evening and what I found inside were small little black bugs crawling all throughout the rice.  I was very disappointed since I have purchased the same bag of rice several times before and never had bugs crawling inside the bag. I regret that I did not take any pictures before I threw away the bag of rice.

Absolutely do not buy! My entire pantry was infested with bugs about a year ago. I did not know what the source of the bugs was. I threw all of my food out and deep cleaned my cabinets. As I bought new food, I kept everything in individual airtight bins. I bought this rice a second time a few months ago, and there are moths in the bin where I store this bag! I am now quite confident that this rice was also the source of my first infestation, given I bought it from the same seller and it is the same type of pantry moths.
