I have PTSD and had trouble sleeping thru the night, and waking up screaming! :(
I had tried lower dosses but did not help.
This brand and the dose of 5mg. Gives me rest with no waking up, and no "screaming, Thank God,  and I feel rested in the morning!
Also no " grogginess!!  
I am so Grateful!!!!

This 5mg Brand works

Worked for me after few days of taking this regularly. Occasionally, I'll wake up and pop another one to sleep. This is also a great anti-oxidant.

What's important to me? Time release. The Natrol brand is what I use today and it does what I want - makes me want to sleep and then keeps me there. But I'm not in a drugged state. If I'm awakened I can function normally. That's what I like about melatonin. It's a supplement, not a drug. Sometimes at night, my mind just won't shut off. Melatonin aides greatly in taking off that edge. I highly recommend it. There are no side effects or addictions that I know of.

Every night! Gets me to sleep.

This product is not for me. Did not work as advertised. Did not sleep two nights of using and felt restless. I have taken other Melatonin products that did better. Perhaps it was the time released aspect that didn't work for me. I will not be purchasing this product again. May be okay for others.

Not for me

I bought this after reading all the rave reviews. I had been using regular (non-time release) melatonin for awhile, and it helped me fall asleep, but not stay asleep. lately I've been waking up 3-4 times per night, and had high hopes that the time release melatonin would help. What a joke! First of all, I did not notice any difference in my sleep. Still waking up 3-4 times per night. Secondly, these pills look EXACTLY the same as my regular melatonin. The bottle talks about different “layers” that provide the time release. Cut one open, people. There are no layers! (See photo.) So disappointed!

Time Release is a joke! Don't waste your money!

I didn't check bottle right away. After I had it for 3 days I went to open it and when I removed the lid the inner seal was already torn off. Too much hassle to return so I'll have to order another bottle.

Safety seal had been removed.

I've tried Natrol fast dissolve 3mg melatonin tablets and was happy that they helped me get to sleep.  I tried the timed release version to stretch out its effect for when I'd wake up for bathroom runs.  It didn't work for me.  An hour, or so, after I took the little pill, I was still wide awake.  So, I cut a 3mg fast dissolve pill to give the slow release a 1.5mg boost; and, it worked, for a while.  I used another aid to get me through the rest of the night.  I'm going to give the timed release another try before I give up; but, I have doubts.  I did pick up a bottle of 3mg slow release gummies to try, in case the little tablet fails.  This tablet is quite a bit smaller than the fast dissolve, which made me wonder about it, before I tried it.
