I survived a stroke in 2009. Although I've made an excellent recovery, my exercise regimen these days is primarily focused on traveling by foot. We have an Australian Shepherd who loves walking in local parks, and the longer the walk, the better she likes it. I found the New Balance style, MW877GT, had many positive reviews as a great fitting shoe, with a history of providing great support at a very reasonable price. I've found my New Balance shoes are well made, comfortable, and really support me in style even on days where the walking distance may exceed 5 miles. My latest pair just arrived recently, and the dog and I look forward to many more miles exploring our areas parks and trails. I know my shoes won't let me down, and the dog and I are both grateful to New Balance for that.

I am purchasing this style of shoe for a second time.

I use these shoes for my daily walks and daily errands. Having a size 14-14.5 shoe size is always a guessing game when ordering online. After two failed tries with another brand, New Balance got it right. My feet have room with the box-toe style design and I can walk 3-4 miles daily on a 6 ft 2' frame with no soreness. That's a winner.

Out of the box comfort.

These 877v1 sneakers are very comfortable to walk in, and they look great.  I'm very happy with them and would purchase them again.

This shoe is a great walking shoe. I walked 4 miles at a pretty fast pace, and the shoe does not slip, and it helps propel you forward. It is very comfortable.

Love it. Great shoe. I work on my feet all day and was looking for something comfortable and stylish. Perfect fit. I don't normally write reviews, but I love this shoe.

Excellent shoe

I think this is the 3rd or 4th pair of these shoes I have bought. They are my most worn shoes. I wear them until they are worn out then buy another pair.

Good everyday and walking shoes.

I'm 74 years old and I walk about 4 miles daily (on sidewalks). These shoes aren't the lightest but they are wide and provide great stability. The soles look solid and should last longer than my previous shoes.

Geat Stability

These are good shoes for walking a very comfortable fit for me.  They are much lighter gray than they appear in the picture.  The shoe laces are too long after two weeks ( Five four mile walks). They look like 1540s but not quite as heavy.

Nice Shoes!

Decide to upgrade to the 877 from the Relaxa. I have a 100 miles on the 877s now and am pleased with them. Comfortable, stable and absorb heal strike very well.  My size is 9.5 4E and these shoes are true to size.  The 877 is a substantial shoe. Yet not heavy. I walk predominantly on level sidewalk/paved pathways and the 877s preform well. Have worn them on several hot humid Ohio summer days and found they breath and vent well. Sole wear is minimal to date, again with a little over 100 miles. Long term durability to be determined. I average 145 to 150 miles a month. I am hoping and expect to get 4 to 5 months of primary use out of the 877s. Then purchase a new pair and retire my current pair to lawn and gardening duty.

Nice walking shoe

Bought after buying MW877 walked 6 miles and got skin abrasion on back of heal. Switched back to Reebok have not tried MW577 yet. Waiting for wound to heal completely.
