First time in years my 93 year old mom's shoes actually fit. With the velcro we can snuggle her AAA size 9.5 foot (she should have been a duck) into the shoe and secure them so that she can safely shuffle off to her destination! She doesn't go far these days but a good fitting shoe means she is less likely to fall! Thank you!

New Balance US

Shoes fit perfectly.  My walking stability has improved 100%.  Shoes are comfortable: round toe box so toes aren't cramped, interior isn't rigid, & loops make them easy to put on.  A big switch from running shoes I've been wearing.  Need to buy 2nd pair for indoors.

This is my favorite shoe. I have been wearing them for 5+years. As an older walker (76) I like the comfort of the velcro closure. I wear beige in the summer and black in the winter. I walk daily and a pair of these shoes usually last 6-9 months until my turned-out stance deforms the sole of the heel.

Great walking shoe!

I used to wear the 813 and found the Velcro Straps to be just the right length. On the 577 I ordered the Wide width and find the Velcro Straps to be on the short side. I'm keeping them as I need new shoes and Velcro Straps are the easiest for me, but I'm disappointed that you don't have the 813 in my size.

They just don't feel right.  They hurt in weird places.  I have to say these are the worst NB shoes I have ever purchased.    I'm torn because I can't just go buy another pair after spending the money on these that I did.  I guess I will be suffering for a while.  I thought I had to break them in but it's been a week or so and no improvement.

A comfortable shoe with just one flaw.  The strap nearest the toe was too long.  Once my foot was secure in the shoe and the toe strap fastened, the strap was too long as it extended about an inch beyond the where the attached Velcro on the shoe ended.

I am very disappointed in these shoes.  I have been wearing new balance for the last 15 years.  This pair is of a lesser quality then previous pairs. The straps are not as wide and not as long. The tongue of the shoe is larger making up for less of the body of the shoe.  What ever the material used for the sole and the body squeak and crunch with every step.  Even after wearing the shoes to break them in the noise of squeaking and crunching has not lessen.  I would not recommend these shoes anymore, not worth the money.

Have worn Model 813 for years in all colors, black, white & beige.Loved that shoe but 813 is no longer available. Ordered Model 577. It is a very poor substitute. Stiff, not comfortable. Sorry I did not order it in leather as it may be more pliable. Wish New Balance had more choices with velcro

Nice Looking Shoes  BUT WORST PAIR I EVER HAD AS FOR AS COMFORT and I've been buying New Balance for quite a few years now--These do NOT use shoestrings, so  no way to anchor the tongue down-- so the tongue slips around  which would be okay EXCEPT that the tongue is extremely long and very rigid--not soft like your other shoes--so the tongue kept rubbing into my foot--was at work and  knew this was  going to be a huge problem after 8 hours, so  I took a pair of scissors and cut abt 3 inches off of each tongue-- that made it bearable--otherwise the shoes  looks to be okay BUT I  would definitely NOT buy them again nor recommend them to anyone  unless they try them on in a store...

WORST PAIR I EVER HAD AS FOR AS COMFORT-

I love new balances, and have many pairs of different styles but these are not comfortable AT ALL. They're super stiff and hard to break them in. They're for sure the correct material for Nursing students when needing full leather shoes, but not comfortable at all. I assumed because my other pairs of new balance in different styles they were all comfy, that these would be too. I was wrong, they make my feet hurt and very sore.
