Adorable bird feeder. It holds 5 pounds of bird seeds, which is amazing that I don't have to go fill it in a daily basis. A raccoon came along and totally dismantled this bird feeder and I was so disappointed that I'd have to throw it away, but I was able to put it back together like a puzzle and it's good as new! Si have it hanging, so did not try to attach to a post. I would absolutely recommend and purchase again.

I love the feeder! yes it's plastic, but these squirrels are something else! I'm glad i can just snap it back together when they drop it... haha. plus I love red barns!

it looks good and built pretty strong it does drain water from the rain , unless it rains hard then the seed stays wet for awhile I recommend cleaning out the wet seed or you will have a garden growing in it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only complaint I have for this feeder is that the opening to add seed is small.  I lose seed to the ground when trying to fill it.  Otherwise, it looks great and suits my needs.

Barn Feeder

I was surprised at how large it is and it looks well built.

I bought mine to use as a yard ornament. May hang it on a shepherd hook or a tree. 

It looks pretty nice but it will be too difficult to clean it and birds will spread diseases because it’s not cleaned properly.  If used for a month for that purpose and thrown in trash then it’s ok.  Best to get one that you can clean easily and thoroughly every few weeks or else don’t feed the birds if you care about them living a longer and healthier life.

Bought as a yard ornament

Love this thing! It’s very cute and sturdy. Easy to take apart for cleaning. Locks in place so you don’t have to worry about a lid coming off. Filling it might be a little difficult if you don’t have a funnel of some sort. I used a flexible plastic cup, just bent it inward and it filled pretty easily.

John Deere green bird feeder

Unfortunately,  this feeder keeps falling apart spilling all the seeds on the ground.  There are slots that hold the 4 sides together and these sides attach to the roof.  These "latches" do not hold together.  Every day I have been finding this feeder on the ground with the roof still hanging from the hook on the tree limb.  I have been forced to stop using this feeder and find one  that has a body that is manufactured in one piece with a securely attached roof/lid.

Pass on this one.

Falls apart. Sides do not stay together. Looks great, until you find it in pieces on the ground. Don't waste your time or money.
