Everything was good except I ordered the wrong size. It came earlier then they estimated it to arrive.

I liked the idea of repairing my rope light instead of throwing in landfill even tho economically it would be better buying new.  You  can buy rope lights for a few bucks more than this kit.  That being said I received kit in timely matter and got to work repairing lights.  The first splice went smoothly and checked lights and they worked perfect.  I then went to do second one and it would not insert in rope and it broke on one side.  Then I tried second one and even though I was careful it too broke.  I was down to my last one and managed to get it in.  Then I went to check lights before shrink wrapping and they worked for fifteen seconds before shorting out.  luckily the shrink wrap was over the splice that shorted because it has black soot on the inside of it and it was the first splice that shorted.  Now lights are in trash and I'm out thirteen plus dollars.  I would not recommend this product for safety reasons.
