This bed is absolutely incredible! It looks just like the picture and all of the parts and hardware was included. They even provided extras! The manual recommended that 2 ppl and 1 1/2 hours would be sufficient. It took me alone about 4 hours or so. However that could just be because I really took my time to ensure that it was put together correctly. Overall, very pleased with my new bed!

So I have never put together anything by myself in my life.. well this bed was a piece of cake. Easy instructions. All the tools. Didn't take too long. I love it. Not only is it pretty, it is sturdy.

This bed is just Beautiful! My husband and I really enjoyed putting it together. The bed and tools came very neatly packed. This bed is more beautiful in person, verse to pictures. Im so in love..

Beautiful Bed!

Great bed for the price, assembly is a little time consuming with 1 person, but very easy. Uniquely old fashion looking! Just follow the instructions! I luv it !

Let me say that at first I was afraid of not being able to assemble it being that it states that 2 or 3 people will be needed. Well I am a divorced 61 year old female and I can proudly say I assembled this bed all by myself. Easy to assemble as long as you have time and patience. The frame is sturdy and you can use top mattress without the boxspring (I got rid of mine). I am loving it! Beautiful and sophisticated design. I feel like a queen.....

Delighted

This is a really pretty bed... really affordable and durable. I wish there could be improvements made to adjust the height of the canopy. Also, can you put stickers/labels on that easily peel off and not have to be scraped?

great buy

I liked the look. I purchased in 2021 and really wanted the PB Maison bed, but the delay was ridiculous and now that sucker is discontinued (Thanks, Pottery Barn). This was/is a good compromise. It is pretty, but it IS designed for SHORTER people, FYI.  While it is  sometimes advertised in the center of a room (they are selling the princess fantasy, for sure) it NEEDS to be up against a sturdy wall with BED STABILIZERS (Hello, Amazon Prime). Does it squeak? You betcha! Is it annoying? Bleep yeah! Is there a fix? YES! $40-$60 and many sleepless nights later, yes there is a FIX. Keep reading...

Novogratz, if you are reading this, please make some additions, like including a double stick foam roll and felt adhesive tabs in the box for assembly. Why? To make the final assembly sturdier and less...squeaky, of course. Also, please include bed stabilizers in the same color as the bed %26 slimmer to match the metal frame width. These are needed to attach to the bed frame and the wall. Makes it sturdier. And while you are at it, the silver hardware (nuts and bolts) in the same matte bronze color would be helpful. Thanks, and moving on....

You will need a roll of double stick foam for the rollie metal slats that attach to the main bar. Who knows? Maybe most metal beds need this. You could also put a thin sheet of plywood or MDF down OVER the metal slats for sturdiness with some felt adhesive tabs ( I might try this next). The slats that go into the side rails that come in the box are cheapie plastic tabs. The slats move and make noise. These ALSO need double stick foam and felt pads underneath/on %26 (sometimes over) to keep them in place.  And, if that WASN'T enough, you'll need round felt adhesive pads to put UNDER the feet of the bed to "stabilize" it and keep it from moving during ANY activity, sleep or otherwise. 

Overall, I like my bed, and the look of it (yeah, I bought what the advertisers were selling). I just wished I'd known all of this PRIOR to paying someone to assemble it (yeah, I was OVER sleeping on an air mattress, TMI, while waiting for my mattress to be delivered). Could you add a box spring? You could, but you'd have to be 4'll to sleep in the bed comfortably.  For a faux padded headboard look, try putting two King pillow shams behind your regular pillows. I hope these tips help someone.

What you need to know about this bed...the novella

The bed looks nice but it is not very sturdy and very noisy.  One of the parts was broken (top ring), I called the manufacturer 2 X to try to get it and they keep pushing the gold color one even though I bought the black one. Not happy with Novogratz costumer service

Nice look, cheaply made

This is the absolute worst purchase I have ever made.  Buyer beware there are 600 pieces to this bed frame and they have you put it together with a tiny, flimsy alan wrench. It's awful. Pieces are bent, the directions are impossible. The frustration just mounted. Terrible designed flat pack furniture. We just threw it out. Total garbage!
