The other stuff had too much flaxseen and the estrogens messed with my keeper puppy having cycles. I had to search a long time to find food without flaxseed. This is the second bag now, pups are 7 weeks old. Firm stools, weight is good and they like it.

Good for puppies, no flaxseed to mess with their hormones.

I love this product

When we adopted our German Shepard Husky mix he was 8 weeks old and I started feeding him Nature's Recipe at the recommendation of a family member. He had diarrhea on and off for several weeks so I tried Blue Buffalo and his diarrhea was better but he was still very gassy (and it was bad!!!). I don't know for sure but the common main ingredient was chicken and I found that almost all large breed puppy food was chicken. When I found this one was lamb I went and got a bag to try it and I couldn't be happier. He almost never has diarrhea anymore and though he still had gas it is not as often or as unbearable! He is now 1 and has been eating Nutro for about 6 months now and I will definitely keep him on this food as an adult dog.

I did not even put her on a different source of food she has been a nutro puppy since the day she came home from the breeder. They were feeding Ol' Roy. Eve's first couple of days were pretty gassy but we got through it and now she will not even sniff at other dog foods. I have to pack dog food along with the kid's stuff. she and my senior dog are doing great on this food.

There is no better choice for a puppy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used Natural Choice on our last two dogs so when our son adopted/saved an Anatolian Sheppard Puppy in Afghanistan I thought we should stay with the brand we used on our other dogs. Dog food from the U.S. isn't available over there so we buy the largest bag of Large Breed Puppy food, fill three flat rate boxes and ship them to him every few weeks. He plans on bringing Bella home with him when he returns next fall and wants to stay with the same brand of dog food that she has been raised on.

This is a great food for large puppy bones.

I credit her breeding and of course, her diet of Large Breed Natural Choice food. She is our third lab that we have fed exclusively with your brand. It is the BEST!

"PRIME SPECIMEN" PER VET

I have been feeding Large Breed Puppy food to my Lab for six months now and I am getting complements on his soft and shiny coat all the time. Nutro is one of the only companies out there that can trace ALL their ingredients. Therefore, everything in the bag is made in America. That is one of the reasons why I love Nutro just as much as my puppy does. That, and all the healthy ingredients that make my puppy grow!

I imported a Cane Corso pup that was having digestive problems @ first i thought it was the flight , Being on another brand BLU for sometime I was recomended to swith to Nutro Large breed and when I did the stools became manageable and the weught he had lost was replaced in no time , He is now 8 months grouwing, thick full of energy, I would recomend Nutro to anyone.

I used Nutro for years and just recently got a new puppy pit bull. He seemed quite hungry but his stomach didn't like the generic food somone gave us with him. He tore right in to the Nutro and within a few days he had solid stool and was looking perky as ever

GREAT!!!

I have used this food for 4 different puppies, the first two I had zero complaints and they were switched to the adult formula at 18 months and did great, one refused to eat it two years ago, he was a lab mix, but had genetic health things going on and was picky, so didn't think much of it when I had to change him to a veterinary diet anyway. My new puppy is severely allergic to chicken, and while the main protein isn't chicken....the chicken by product and chicken fat still bother him. I love the quality of your food but this is definitely an issue for pups with allergies and food sensitivity. Finding a good quality food that doesn't have any chicken and includes grains isn't easy, especially for puppies. I would love to continue to use this food, however because of the ingredients it's not possible with my current dog.

Good quality, not so awesome ingredients.

For some dogs, I'm sure this is great, but our boxer puppy does not eat it very well. Most of the time she will leave a huge portion unless we add a little warm water. She is 7 months old. Her stools are not formed very well at all and they smell awful. We previously had her on the chicken and oatmeal large breed puppy, and it did the same thing. We have brought her to the vet several times and she is healthy seemingly. I'm not sure what our next move will be. She obviously isn't a fan. Every dog is different and I'm sure it is great for some, but sadly it isn't working for us.

Boxer puppy doesn't like it
