I have always been a fan of OFF insect repellent sprays but this is the first time I am seeing this deep woods spray for sportsmen. we like hiking a lot so this is very useful to use. the smell is fine and not too strong. I did feel secure and protected against bugs and mosquitos which usually attack me. free from bites I'm happy with this product for especially evening walks.

Good bug repellent

I was pleasantly surprised with the scent of this product. I was expecting a chemical odor but was happy to find it fresh and appealing. The press down trigger to use the spray was easy to handle and the product applied evenly. After an hour I did notice the the back of my one leg was a bit sticky so be careful when you apply so you don't use too much. I used the product before taking my dogs for their evening walk and definitely noticed a decrease in the amount of mosquito bites I received. Overall I'm very happy with this product and recommend for anyone who struggles with mosquitos.

It works for me

This product works great. I used it on a really warm evening and in an area that I usually get many mosquito bites but I didn't get any. I also was sweating and it didn't make a difference on it's effectiveness. I scent is not that pleasant and smells chemically but it's worth it as I did not get any mosquito bites at all. I would highly recommend this product.

off deep woods for sportsmen insect repellent repels mosquitos for up to 8 hours. I tested it out and it worked really great however make sure you spray all over as it only works on areas sprayed. It contains 30% but the smell wasn't too over powering. It sprays on well covering all areas. It's not a greasy spray and it doesn't stain either making it great to use. It also works to repel other bugs like ticks and black flies. A must for the outdoors.

Works great

Off! Deep Woods Sportsman is a really good bug spray. With a 30% deet, it does a really good job of repelling mosquitoes and is effective for both deer flies and black flies. I'm only gripe is that it has a very strong odour that lingers on and on. Also it definitely does not repel mosquitoes for 8h. You need to reapply at least every 2h. Bad aside, this is a very good product.

Great Repellent

While I like the claims of this bug repellent having a maximum protection of 8 hours the scent is a bit too strong. I used it while camping and while it does claim to repel black flies, deer flies and ticks I still had a tick on me.   I don't know if I would repurchase due to the strong scent of it.

Good bug spray but strong scent

flimsy and difficult to refill.  not buying again.  bamboo base split when trying to stand it in the ground.  never use around children or pets.

caution needed

I have mixed feeling about this product. I actually used it as soon as I got home as we were outside having a chat with some friends.

My initial impression is that it dries fast and doesn't feel sticky also it doesn't have that nasty smell that most mosquito repellent are know for.

I only applied it to my arms and legs and the first hour it works perfectly. I was happy as we've been having really big mosquitoes and they just love me. After 2 hours I noticed a couple of mosquitoes getting close to but no bite and after 3 hours of hanging outside I was attracting a lot of mosquitoes and they started to bite. 

This is the reason why I have mixed feeling about this product also I learnt that you cannot use this mosquito repellent with sunscreen. I wish I had a better, long lasting effect. Guess I'll use it for quick outings.

It did not work as expected

The price was $37 online. I bought it along with other items. It wasn't available in the store so Walmart express shipped me the bug spray for a grand total of $60.
