this step can is just what we needed for our busy kitchen! extremely easy to use, has a wall bumper off of the back - allowing the lid to fully extend without hitting the wall, a locking lid, and they offer it in a color other than black (ordered the brown)! 
 I don't think trash cans look wonderful to begin with But this can looks great in our space. grand slam!

This can is great in color and style for our kitchen.  
The only drawback is that the lock on the lid is a two-hand job.   Our old can, you could lock and unlock with one hand.   This one is really stiff.   I'm hoping with enough use it will be a little easier.   Although, a good lock is better than a bad lock.

This is the 2nd time that I have purchased this Garbage can it is worth the money. The color is a beautiful brown. which goes well with light colors like beidge in your kitchen .There is no smell from the garbage and it holds alot
 you must think why did she buy two. I thought I could find a better one, and yes it was pricey.  I had to end up throwing out the new garbage can and going back to this one. I am satisfied.

Good trash can. We had this same one for over 10 years and it worked great before the lid wouldn't stay put. I like the soft open lid and the fact that it will stay open when manually opened. Very convenient. The bags also stay tight in there. I don't think we have had a single bag slip out in 10 years.

Reliable trash can

This is our second one! We bought one probably 7 years ago and that thing lasted all the wear and tear a family with kids could put on it. When our first one finally broke we bought a new trash can (not this brand) and it was horrible and expensive, so I returned it and searched for this exact one again.  I was able to find  it and I'm so happy we went with this brand again. It's Easy to clean, great for its price, and the durability was fantastic. Highly recommend. When this one gives out I will be buying again.

Best trash can

Loved that they updated this can with a wall stopper bar that keeps the can from hitting the wall.  Love that it locks when you choose to  and doesn't require batteries.  My original one lasted about 14 years and I decided to buy a replacement after the original ones step pedal finally gave out.  Here's hoping this one lasts just as long.

Great locking kitchen trash can

Great purchase!! It's the best trash can I've ever had. I love how after you step to open it, the lid slowly closes without a sound. Don't hesitate to buy this one , especially if you're on the fence.  We have a dog, she ignores it, small kids ignore it at our house ..I haven't been paid or given anything for saying this. I really do  like this simple human garbage can so much!

Simple Human 13gal Strp Trash Can-color brown

Somewhat disappointed with this trash can. We have a more expensive Simple Human trash can in another house and it is markedly superior to this model. I've taken off one star because this doesn't stay in place like our other can does. The lid operates smoothly and bags install easily. I would recommend.

The %231 reason I returned this trash can is because we COULD NOT get the lid attached to the base. A trash can should not be that challenging to put together.
