Camera Protection

Buttons have insecure rubber surrounds that shift easily.

Provides reliable safeguard for screen and camera lenses.

Case size is larger than expected, affecting phone fit.

Case fits closely around the phone, allowing access to all ports and buttons.

I have been using the Commuter Series cases for years and this version of the iPhone 17 Pro appears to be great case. The fit is perfect, allowing access to all the ports and buttons. The raised edges on the front and around the camera plateau on the back provide great protection for the screen and camera lenses when the phone is placed either up or down on a surface. The material of the case provides a solid grip but still allows the phone to by easily inserted/removed from a pocket. MagSafe charging also works without any issues.

Great case for those on the go

otterbox.com

Love Otterbox! It is the only case I use to protect my phone. I'm a clutch and often drop my phone. It has never been damaged because Otterbox keeps it well protects. Thank you!

LOVE Otterbox.

Good quality case and screen protector, I have already dropped my phone and it hasn't cracked or anything.

Good case

Pretty good case but a couple of things I don't like. I hate the flap I have to open every time I want to charge it. Also, definitely not as beefy as the commander but that was to be expected. They should add more skid resistant on the back of the case so it does not slide around in car or on table. Overall would buy again.

Just Okay but better than most.

Attractive colors. Excellent protection. The rubbery soft plastic portions provide a positive grip, which is reassuring. But the hard plastic sections on the sides are a bit slick and don't provide such a good grip. I'd rather it was soft, grippy material everywhere. That would especially help when holding horizontally to take landscape pictures.

Great overall, but sections could be improved.

Case appears to be decent. Rubber shell feel cheaper than previous models. Adds a lot of bulk to the phone but that is expected. The only disappointing aspect is the MagSafe strength is poor compared to other cases.

Decent Case

The OtterBox Commuter has always been a “ go to” case for me for many years. However, this case needs a redesign for the 17 Pro/Pro Max. It is a nice protective case, but you will have to completely give up your camera control feature. This case puts pressure on the button, so it's constantly activated or pressed in. To be completely honest, this is a feature that I could completely give up on my iPhone because it is not that important to me. Thankfully, Apple does give you options to completely disable it so the case will not interfere with it. It's just a bad design on OtterBox's part that you can't completely use every button. I have since returned my case to OtterBox. Better luck next time.

Camera control?

Case color was great and liked the looks but the Camera Control button didn't work. It wasn't even a sensitivity issue. The button just didn't work right. Unfortunately I had to return the case. I would be happy to get this case if I could be sure that the button issue has been corrected.

Nice case but bad buttons

For such an expensive phone case, the MagSafe feature is not strong, I bought an $11 phone case that had better strength. I paid too much for this phone and this phone case for it to be so faulty

MagSafe is not strong

walmart.com

Case would pull up my screen protector. So i had to buy a different otherwise I couldn't use a screen protector with it.

Not compatible with screen protector
