Controls Accessibility

Can be sleek and thoughtful, but also criticized for cutout and button placement.

Offers additional safeguarding around phone's vulnerable areas.

Cutout size can be uncomfortable to hold and may not fit in pockets.

Love otter boxes this is my fifth iPhone and all of them have had outer boxes. Every time I've traded in an iPhone I'm always asked if I used it because there's no marks or anything on the case. Most times I've had my phone for five years before I trade them in.

Strong and sturdy

otterbox.com

The magnet isn't strong. It doesn't connect securely. The case already looks trashed because everything sticks to the material. Grant it, I have a somewhat dirty job as I am a mail carrier but I bought an Otterbox because of it. When it first came in I loved it! The color was pretty. I ordered the denim blue. I haven't even had it for two months and it looks awful. The dirt and dust sticks into the texture. I am quite disappointed. The outer shell doesn't even fit that securely. Big let down, Otterbox.

Big Disappointment

I honestly love the feel of the case and have used otterbox for a long time. It feels solid and has good grip. Only reason for the 3 stars is, I'm not a fan of how otterbox went about the camera button cutout. It's very obnoxious and leaves a lot of the phone exposed.

iPhone 16 Pro Max Defender

Customer Service

As so many other reviewers have said, there is no protection for the Photo Button on the side of the case. It is a well made case with that being it's only flaw. Also, the available holsters for this case could be improved.

IPhone 16 Pro Max Defender for MagSafe...

The cut out was a bad design. I know that they say that it won't affect the safety of the phone but it still feels weird to have a cutout on the edge. I also wish the case was a little thicker and heavier. I also wished that they kept the belt clip with the case, some people don't use it but some people do use it and don't want to wait for it to come in after the case since you can get a free one.

The cut out & thinner Defender case is not good.

I wish I could rate this case higher. I've trusted my phones in otter boxes for years now. My iPhone 7 and my iPhone 13, I would throw my phone around and not worry about it at all. Not with this case on the iPhone 16 pro max. The options for the new camera button could have been much better than what was delivered. Plus the flush side makes this case feel like there is little to no protection from it having a face down drop. Adding magnets to the rubber backing or a steel insert for the pop sockets or mag safe products would greatly increase its ability to have these products stay attached. The charging flap put a lot of tension onto the charging cable. I'm not impressed with the direction they took for this case. For the price I paid I expected more.

Not impressed

Worst otterbox product I've ever purchased, the cut out for the new camera control button makes it hard to grab the phone constantly. Phone is completely exposed around the area making it really concerning that damage will occur in case of a drop and that area gets impacted.

Worst otterbox product I've ever purchased.

I purchased a new one to go on vacation and it broke within 10 days in Cambodia and i had to purchase new phone would never recommend

DO NOT BUY

The case has a large opening and isn't really comfortable compared to previous models. After light use the side where the camera action button is feels a bit loose and cheaply made.

Snug but loose

The case does not fit perfectly around the power button. Can feel it move pressed against the phone around this area. Case works to protect it but it's annoying it doesn't fit perfectly

Does not fit

OtterBox Defender Pro MagSafe Case Baby Blue Jeans for iPhone 16 Pro Max with a textured, rugged blue exterior, raised edges protecting camera and screen, antimicrobial additive, port covers, and a circular MagSafe alignment mark, designed for dust resistance and secure grip.
