Having been a customer for twelve years, I've had to have my Otter Box replaced more than once because of wear and tear. . . . with never and extra charge. Gravity is relentless but so is the Defender. I dropped my iPhone 6, 12, and 17 more than once and defender did its job every time!

I get a new otter box for each new iPhone that I purchase. It has saved my phone countless times when it's been dropped. Even on cement. I am sure it's saved me a few replacement iPhones over the years. I use it with a holster so carrying g the phone is quite easy. I even carry it on my belt when motorcycle riding

Defender saves my iPhone

I have been a defender user for 4 phones over the years. This new one has taken all my worry of damage. I have a tendency to drop my phone working around animals on a farm. It survives every time!

It handles the farm animals!

I ordered my new Case and Belt Clip for my new I-phone 17Pro Max on line.  I have had the defender cases for all of my past 5 or 6 I-phones.  I was disappointed that there were only a few colors to choose from.  So, I couldn't get my usual camo color case.  But one thing I'm worried most about is how the case clips into the belt clip. It doesn't have a firm click when you snap your phone into place.  And doesn't have a lot of resistance for it not to fall out.   I'm  worried about loosing my phone.  Everything else if fine and it came on the same delivery truck as my phone. So I didn't have to use it naked.

New 17Pro Max

I have always used the defender series case for my iPhone. This new model for the iPhone 17 is very ascetically pleasing but it is not as sturdy as the previous versions.  I have had the case 2 weeks and there is already a small crack I'm the back of the case.  Makes me concerned it will hold up to the 4 year longevity of the previous cases.

Not as Good as Previous Versions

I expected more from an OtterBox case, especially given the brand's reputation and price point. Unfortunately, the back of the case scratched very easily with normal, everyday use. Even more frustrating, the two pieces that are supposed to clip together don't connect very securely. They commonly separate, which makes the case feel unreliable and poorly designed. Overall, it doesn't provide the solid, dependable protection I was expecting.

Disappointing Durability for the Price

It gets full of dirt in the back. Constantly have to take it apart to clean it.

Dirt magnet

Despite installation of defender pro and screen protector my screen cracked within two weeks - without even dropping it. Just in my coat pocket. My only explanation is that it must have been hit at a weird angle by my door key in my pocket or something like that. The crack is next to the ring on/off button on the phone. But really I thought this would provide more protection. Hugely disappointed.

Heard great things now very disappointed

This case has a design flaw that traps dust, causing scratches on my phone. I am disappointed to learn that Lifeproof cases are no longer available, so I have resorted to this alternative, which has proven to be the worst case ever. I strongly urge the manufacturer to restore Lifeproof cases.

Disappointed

I've had an Otterbox for over 7 years but ever since the 16 Pro Max case came out with the cutout for the action button, they completely damaged the case, leaving that area unprotected. When I bought the 17 Pro Max and saw that there was a physical action button, I thought it was the end, without thinking twice. I bought it before the iPhone 17 Pro Max came out but when I had the phone in my hand and put it on, I saw that every time I picked it up, the action camera button was activated, which was not normal. That has a problem and OtterBox has to fix it, which I hate terribly, which is why I returned it.
