Not too big. And actually, the sectional is very roomy. My pergola is 8x8. Fits perfectly. I did not use the clamps, which will leave the orientation versatile i.e., I can have a love seat and single. Instructions are very clear. I was able to assemble everything myself in 2.5 hours. Just do as instructed and DO NOT tighten 100% as you go along. Just screw in enough to "set" and then move on. Wait until you have a chair assembled and then tighten everything. Only exception is the first very long screw on the end pieces. (There are only two of them.) Those, tighten 100% to begin, and then the rest will line up at 50%, leaving you to tighten everything to 100% before moving on to the next piece. I find the table high. Saving it for a side table somewhere else. I have a small fire table to sit in front of this sectional.

Very pleased with this set, fairly easy instal, looks great. Hoping it lasts many years.

Great little set

My only complaint is the cushions.  They are not waterproof in the least (like sponges). 
The also could us more padding. Other than that, we love the set.  It fir perfectly in a corner of our deck.
