Good deal

I buy this for my three chicks, but it looks big enough for at least six. Instruction is easy to follow. One Phillips tip screw driver can drive all the screws. That's good. I am not very handy. I get it assembled in two hours. The second floor is easy to pull out and clean. The roof is pretty thick, so if we are out for one or two days, the chicks can live inside without any problem.

Right price for item

I love the access to the inside of the coop. Easy to clean. The perfect size for my yard. I have 4 chickens. It looks bigger in the picture than it is though. The hardware could be better. I will be replacing some of the latches to the access panels. All in all pretty decent coop for the money.

Easy acess!

The coop and run are great. The instructions were not complicated and the coop was easy to assemble. All the pieces were intact except for the ramp. The wood at the top of the ramp was split, and not able to be attached as is. A little wood glue should fix it so it¡¯s not a big deal though.

Very pleased

super happy with this coop. We are beginners and will have two chickens. My husband and 15 year old son put the coop together in about an hour. My husband will be applying an water seal and made a base from 2x4 and wire cloth. I know this coop may not last several years, but for the price if we get 2-3 years it will be worth it.

The wood is pretty cheap and the ramp up to the coop was so thin and cheap it kept splitting, one of the hinges was missing and it was obvious the wood had split, the other one was barely on, we had to replace these but really no wood to attach hinges to.  The roof is very nice and solid, the back wall has some gaps where rain can get in, small gaps but over time I can see this to be a problem.  The directions could be a little bit better, at least the pictures clearer and bigger.  The hardware was marked well but we did have some do-overs because we didn't assemble correctly.  The chickens are liking it and it is very easy to clean and get to the eggs.  The run is not that big, we have three chickens and I can't see where that run could be permanent.  We put this coop inside a much much bigger pen and only lock them in the run over night.  I'm giving it 4 stars for the easy cleaning and easy access to the eggs and the nice roof.

Review on PawHut XL Coop

Coop has no front door to close it up with. Sold as a chicken coop but no way to secure the chickens at night. The run attached to the coop is not secure against digging animals at all.  I will have to build a door to secure the chickens at night. For the cost of this coop there should be a door on it.

The run is not heavy enough to keep animals out

My chicken house came with a lot of chipped pieces and lots of the pieces donâ€™t go together correctly. I wish it was more stable and had better wood quality. Itâ€™s not really wood at all. Itâ€™s too soft and super thin. I had a few pieces that were with gaps and now I have to seal and glue everything. It wonâ€™t last long if you donâ€™t seal it. And the stairs were also broken. Not worth the money.

Not that great.

The only problem with this was it was a little confusing to put together at first because none of the holes lined up so you had to kinda of make your own holes. Other than that it is a pretty good chicken coop. Looks nice once it is all put together.

Good coop overall.

I was really excited about this coop until it arrived and I began the assembly process. The wood is incredibly cheap and flimsy, to the point that I'm starting to think it will not hold my chickens once they are fully grown. Some of the parts didn't line up properly and it leaks so I have to cover it with a tarp whenever it rains. This product definitely wasn't worth what I paid for it and I'll be surprised if it lasts past the summer.
