Directions are fussy. I just folded over two big rectangles with apple goop within. Tasty.

Here I thought I was just imagining it but yes now I see from all these other reviews it is not just me,they actually have now started giving crescent dough not turnover dough as they once did. It is literally impossible to make proper turnovers this way. I am going to lay the full sheet of dough from 1 can on the baking sheet, then use the dough from a second can to lay on top of the 2 packs of apple filling and some extra applesauce from a jar that  I will add to bump up the taste.I will spread all the apple stuff on the 1st bottom layer then top with 2nd can of dough kept in a full sheet,press edges together to seal ,bake.Top with cream cheese frosting from Philly! Then after I do all this I will never buy this "turnover" product again!!  So unimpressed.  :(

JUST A JOKE!

My family used to love Pillsbury turnovers.  However I was surprised when I bought some last year that they had changed the usual rectangular dough into triangular dough like they have for Pillsbury croissants.  I initially thought they had put the wrong dough in the wrong package, but a check of the directions showed that they expected you to fold a scalene triangle in half into a smaller triangle - which isn't possible.  I complained to the company twice that is was obviously a silly cost-cutting measure so that they could produce the same shaped dough for both products.  
It seems I'm correct in that assumption since they now suggest on the package to try rolling it up into a croissant shape instead.  If you attempt that, the jam will simply be pushed out of the sides as the dough expands when cooked.  
I refuse to buy this product again until they fix this ridiculous charade and remember the old adage that if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

Cost-cutting measure ruins product

Literally a package of crescent roll dough. The shape does not allow you to fold the triangle in half like the instructions say, because the triangle piece is not cut from a square, it's cut from a rectangle.....for crescent rolls. Whoever thought of this has obviously never used the product.

Horrible

You changed your dough to the exact same format as crescents and these no longer fold over properly because the dough is no longer symmetrical.  Maybe you saved money or could utilize the same production facilities but this is a total failure.  You can no longer make a turn over from these, filling leaks out due to non-symmetrical dough shape.  Your instructions don't even make sense, they no longer form a triangle shape.

They use crescent roll dough now with is a long thin triangle shape instead of a square piece you fold in half.  Good luck getting the filling in and dough folded over.  What a mess.

Bought this for Apple Turnovers BUT dough was elongated triangles like for crescent roolls. A real mess trying to do something with it. Definitely NOT  turnover dough !!!!
