I live in the city in which Crafty Ramen was founded (Guelph, ON), and I've been going to their Macdonnell St location for years. So when their frozen version was introduced, I was skeptical it would be worthy of my hard earned money…. Boy, was I wrong! It tastes fresh and alive and just takes five minutes to prepare — freezer to table. Bravo, Crafty Ramen! bravo!

As good as the real thing!

This here's a real treat. Reminds me of real Japanese ramen. Something about the texture of the noodles. Only trouble is that the toppings tend to sink to the bottom. Guess I should use one of those funny-shaped oriental spoons to scoop 'em out. They say it's best to let this thaw in the fridge overnight, if you have the foresight.

Restaurant quality

My son is a “ramen connoisseur” and highly rated this. Aside from making from scratch or going out to a restaurant, this product was high quality prepared option. Good value for money considering the quality.

Good quality frozen prepared product

Crafty Ramen used to create DIY packs during Covid, and because of the big success have now an easier, frozen version available in retail. Same great taste, just quicker to the table!

Restaurant quality ramen at home

This meal I would highly recommend for anyone that is not in the mood to cook but wants a warm meal to eat. It is super easy just heat up and eat

Smooth and satisfying

Overall, this is a decent product. It needs to be a bit larger and have more broth. It is missing a bit of the oomph that its predecessor the Northern Warmer had.

The pork chashu really should be packaged on its own  and warmed separately to preserve flavour. Having to cook it frozen from the whole block really takes away from the taste and texture. 

This works incredibly well as an easy and warming meal but it pales in the face of fresh ramen.

It Has Potential

I enjoyed this ramen well enough. It's good for a quick meal but it's not as good as going to the restaurant. It's also got too much salt for regular consumption!

Ok for a treat once in awhile

Crafty Ramen Pork Miso is decent for frozen ramen. Broth is rich and flavorful, comparable to restaurant quality. Two complaints I have are the portion size is small and the noodles get a little soggy.

Decent for Frozen Ramen

Nice idea but done badly. The ingredients are not fresh and have an after taste of a meal which spent a couple of years in a freezer. The pork is mostly fat, the noodles are too soft and the broth is not a miso.

Not worth your money
