Can be straightforward, but instructions and part quality can be inconsistent.

Can be sturdy and presentable, but also flimsy and cheap-looking.

I was very nervous buying this, because I thought I had to purchase 2 different sized bins since the 2 cubbies on the outer sides in their pictures show different size compare to the cubby in the middle. But they are all 3 the same size, I just did not add the top narrow long wooden panel at the top and only added the panels to each side. This actually looks bigger this way and without the panel on top it is easier to slide out the bin. It took me 2 hours to complete, because my 5

This bench is everything I hoped it would be. The assembly was not difficult, the color is exactly what I expected. I am using it as a window seat and it is as sturdy as I hoped it would be.

Great for a Window Seat!

Bought this for my boyfriend so he has a place to sit and remove his work boots. I bought the entryway shelf that hangs above it. It is a nice pair. It was easy to assemble with well-outlined directions. Bought wire baskets for the cubbies for his gloves and hats.  Bought a black and white outdoor cushion for the top with a couple of outdoor throw pillows from Wayfair. Drifted gray color is lovely.

Smart-looking

We absolutely love our entry way shelf! Super easy to put together and installation was a breeze. I would buy again. We purchased the matching hanging storage cubby as well.

Perfect Addition

The bench itself is good and certainly serves its purpose to help clear up clutter (shoes) in our mud room. The one complaint I have is the directions. The drawings of the pieces are not accurate; i.e., they do not show all of the holes in the wood in the diagram so you can easily put the pieces together incorrectly if you are not careful. I bought 3 storage bins for the cubbies at Target for $40 and Mainstays Microfiber Chair Pads off of Walmart.com. I also paired this unit with the Monterey Entryway Shelf so we had a place to hang our jackets and make the whole unit more functionable.

Serves its purpose

A little annoying to put together but what piece of furniture isn't, it's not as bad as other things I've got from stores like ikea. Over all it looks good and it feels like it will stand up well. It fit the cushion we had perfectly too.

Feels sturdy!

It was easy to set up and looks nice. Would have hoped to find something at lower price for pressboard product but this was the best deal I could find. I purchased it for my daughters' playroom with the thought that later we could use it somewhere else if needed. It works great in the playroom for book storage and they also love using the top as a "stove" or drawing space. It could also work well in any other room of our house as a storage bench.

As expected

I really like the bench now that it is set up but the assembly was awful due to the worst instructions I have ever seen! I have built all kinds of furniture in the last month and this was by far the most frustrating due to the awful directions...there are NO instructions, just pictures that are not well done either.

Worst instructions ever!

This bench is a joke. As my husband and I were putting it together it was crumbling on the corners cause the entire thing is made of particle board. We actually took the bench apart and I am returning it this weekend. Found another bench at a store for a little more and it's made out of wood!!

Cheaply made

I am so sad about this bench. I saw it had so many positive reviews that I didn't even think to look at the 1-2 star reviews so I went ahead and ordered it. I went to start assembling it and holyyyyyy... the top of the bench was already sagging so back to Walmart it went to return :(.
