We purchased the distressed white finish chest. Bottom line: We wouldn't buy it again but we won't go through the hassle of trying to return it either. We'll live with it and learn to love it. The Good: Chest was very well packaged, impressively so. The price is probably commensurate with the quality, seems pretty sturdy and well designed, but its not a thing of beauty. The Bad: They hammered small plastic feet to the bottom of the  front two legs, none on the back for some reason. One of the legs had a knot at the very end and wouldn't take the nail. So they just hammered it into the bottom of the side where it split out a small chip (inch square) of wood. I was able to glue that back down. Another reviewer mentioned that the surfaces are rough and catch on clothing. We see that too, particularly on corner edges, but not inside the drawers thankfully. Not much sandpaper was harmed in the construction of this piece. Additionally the distressing is not really very well done, compared to other pieces we have in the house. The Ugly: One of the corner slide/glide plastic pieces was stapled down at an angle and snapped off when they shoved the drawer in. And on another drawer the center guide was installed a bit twisted and they snapped off one edge of that when they shoved that drawer in. I've sent a note to the vendor, waiting to see if/how they will respond. Recommendation: I'm going to recommend this item on the assumption that they will address the manufacturing flaws, but you might want to save the packing until you look it over.
