[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is actually a gift for my son for Christmas.  he has never owned a CD player and I thought this was a good price point to introduce him to music. It is small in size and portable which is perfect!

Seems like some people got a good one others not.
Mine works really well, of course I only use it for Cd's not radio. The sound on mine is amazing!
I got white like it and not much smaller than my older one I had for many years.
Of coure don't expect this one to last years and years.  But nothing does anymore.

WOW mixed reviews!

This turned out to be a fantastic purchase.  I bought 22 of these.  Yep!!  Some were champagne, black, and orange.  All purchased as a donation to local HOSPICE.  So naturally, I had to operationally check out each boombox function before presenting these as a gift to my HOSPICE coordinator.  All 22 units worked just fine.  All had great sound generation.  And, the operation was easy to understand.  These will make a great gift to HOSPICE, or to anyone giving one to a family member, or friend.

Booming Box

this is a cute budget cd player and radio. I received mine today, and i can honestly say this is a decent device for the price. im old enough to remember when boomboxes came out.  The lid to the cd player has to be lifted to open and pushed closed. that's a normal feature for budget devices for decades. The speaker is a budget piece as well but gets the job done. im listening to my Frank Sinatra 80th anniversary cd collection as I type, and it sounds great.

what are some people complaining about?

Bought this so I could play my CD collection in whatever room of the house I pleased. Sound quality is decent and it's well worth the money. Haven't tried it on battery but works well plugged in and is small enough to easily move around.

The only complaints I have is that the symbols on the various buttons are the same colour as the body and extremely tiny, so are hard to see. Won't be a problem once I've used it often enough to know which button does what. Also, when sliding the switch to turn the CD part off, I frequently accidentally turn the radio on. Not a major problem, just a comment.

Makes washing dishes fun.

I like the radio and it serves the purpose it was intended for.  My only issue is that the on/off/radio/CD small button is in the back.  You have to be careful you don't push it too far or you'll get CD instead of FM radio.  My favorite station comes in clear (better than most expensive radios) and the CD player works great.

All in all, it was a great purchase.

easy listening

Plain and simple -- This is a piece of junk. 
Low quality on speakers, difficult to get it to start playing, does not auto shut off after CD has finished playing,  display in front will not turn off unless you unplug the device.   I just wanted a small device to play CD's in my condo.  Threw it away after a month.  Just too frustrating to use.  Save your money, this is cheap junk.

Cheap Junk - Save your money

I bought the cd player in June. Only gets used at night most of the time. The color is amazing and the sound isn't bad. BUT...the cd player decided to stop working already. It hasn't been mistreated or moved around. I'm honestly surprised and  very irritated. Radio still works but tat isn't what I really bought it for. So I would not recommend this to anyone unless they want to deal with a return.

Only worked 4 months!!!!

This thing was a piece of junk!  Upon arrival, I was so excited because my old cd player was not working.  I even tore up the receipt!  I went to try it out.  Nothing happened.  I read the instructions, still, nothing happened.  Every time I pressed play, it just read No on the screen.  This thing is horrible.  Cheap.  Do not buy it!
